Over 25 it gets weird

20-25 is a good chance to stay at home study , save , etc

At a certain point we gotta leave the nest and let our parents be a couple again and not baby sitters

There's really no good reason to live at home past 25

I had a stint at home before my current place and it wasn't that bad seeing it was free and I had the whole attic but still I could forget about:

- having a girl over . You better hope you find a girl with their own place otherwise screwed. Also, this puts you in a feminine position

- my mom constantly asking where I went when I got back home

- petty arguments no escaping from


- weekends would roll around and you'd really want to take the run of a place but you're cucked into following your parents rules

I know a guy who is my age (29) and lives in his dad's basement

I used to work with 2 guys in their 40s that lived with their moms, one eventually bought a house around age 45, other was a loser.

Either way, I think after 25 it gets weird

Why is this so strange, my parents provided for me food and shelter when I was a kid, so do I just dump them on the street the minute I'm 25 or self reliant? My parents rely on me, and I support them now, can't imagine any other scenario.
Imagine throwing your parents in a old peoples home, to rot and be abused by the nurses. Convinced people who abandon their parents are literal subhumans.

My net worth at 29 currently stands at about 250-300k

The price of the condo is largely irrelevant to your net worth....what matter is how much equity you have into it

I could list this place today , and conservatively sell it for what I paid ...and walk away with my down payment (170k) and how much of the loan that is paid off thus far


That's like saying some rich guy in a 10 million dollar mansion is broke because he only paid 5 million off the mortgage so far.

Is his net worth -5 m? No...

STRONG financial knowledge, but what else can we expect from a brokie living @ home

Love my parents but I couldn't wait to get out on my own. Moved out at 19, got a roommate and lived paycheck to paycheck.

There were 5 siblings and I was the oldest daughter. I had been working since the age of 10 and had a lot of responsibility when living at home. Again, my parents were great but I was pretty mature and just felt like it was time to be on my own.

No regrets.

if its because youre a manchild, then yes that cringe af and sad at any age above 24 imo. if you have some genuine reason for it, like taking care of your mom or saving up for a house or wahtever, then personally i dont see anything wrong with it.

99% of the time though its because they are losers who either cant afford to live on their own or are still dependent in someway to mommy, which again is cringe af.
