Yes, it worked for me.

Three times a week for two weeks on wet sand

then dry sand

then ground

then hills

So 8 weeks until a 15lb fat loss and looking absolutely shredded

Went from 200lbs to 150lbs in about 4 months. I also came off a cycle, so I lost a chit ton of water, and definitely lost muscle.

Make sure you're eating right when you do it. Get plenty of protein and keep lifting weights.

In short, it works, just don't go crazy with the diet or your gains will disappear.

No.

I need to do an hour of fairly intense cardio or I'm not losing fat.

I honestly don't think there's a shortcut for burning calories.

Burns cals but more glycogen and carbs than ideal for fat loss. Around 90mins Zone 2 on empty stomach could be best for fat loss.

Everyone wants a quick fix. There are no quick fixes.

Anyone that competes will tell you the best fat loss from a cardio event would be no more than 45 minutes @ 60% of max heart rate every day while eating at a slight calorie deficit.

It sucks, but thats what people who make money off their body composition do. Never bet against the money.

LISS - Low Intensity Steady State Cardio is best. Get out and WALK every day for 1-2 hours. Walking is a cheat code. It burns fat not muscle and it doesn't spike appetite. When I was at my leanest I was walking 6.6 miles every day - see pic below at age 50. I just got back from a 6.6 mile walk as I'm getting back into it. It is time consuming tho. 6.6 miles in the S FL sun takes me about 2 hours.

I read up on it and decided on sprints which were great, but worsened my training days.

long sessions of steady state cardio is better for fat loss. Calorific balance is what does it, not your anaerobic capacity.

Supposedly, doing HIIT gets the body into a state of stress where you keep burning cals even after you stop, so you lose fat.

I do not believe that.
