How much $$$$ did bodybuilding.com leave on the table?
Plenty of people out there will spend hundreds or even thousands for fake video game items or currency (Farmville chit, Madden Cards, who knows what else I don't video games anymore).
Yet here we have a forum with 19 million signed up users who are all ceo 10k/day (Call it 5 million users considering alts) and the cubecels running this place were too hollow brained to sell reputation power for money.
Say starting back in the early 2000's they sold 100 reps for $1.00, and adjusted it for rep inflation as needed. They would have made a conservative 8 figures inpure profitby now guaranteed.

To be fair, BB.com is one the least innovative companies I've ever heard of.
They've been coasting on the 2005 ecom business model for almost 20 years with basically no changes.

They done a fairly terrible job at innovation with their internet platform.
Social media blowing up and they never bothered to promote/innovate with bodyspace. Make it another social media app. Why wasn't it worked on until every personal trainer in the industry is using it/pushing it?
Why didn't they create a calorie counting/tracking app (similar to myfitnesspal)?
Look at all the fitness influencers on youtube/tiktok/IG. Look at all the content in that sector. Why the hell isn't BB.com a competitor?
Its 2023 and the search function on the forums are still screwed up. They've never added a HRT/Anabolics section of the forum. Even though now these things are widely discussed/accepted as being used. Etc.
At the end of the day they stick with their bread and butter. Selling supplements. However I don't know how the supplement industry will last in the future once everyone realizes $100 per month worth of testosterone is more effective then $1000 per month worth of over the counter supplements. Furthermore, its not even 'illegal' anymore and is widely practiced and accepted.
