Claims that he’s not the guy who trades his way to good teams

Then turns around and brags about trading a draft pick for Betts and a dead JoFer plus Arenado for Trout as soon as he joined the league.

N*gga…. What????

It’s already long been confirmed you inherited a team with a great core of keepers. Ricardo’s overall team was not great which was why he finished 12th. That plus he wasn’t active. But his core keepers, which is what carries over year to year and what you actually inherited, was one of the best in the league.

His keepers were better than mine that season and I finished higher than him in the standings so peddling this nonsense you inherited a 12th place team the year prior is old news. Lol that you’re still trying to pass that one off this far into your A League tenure. Sad!

I also find it funny you’re still trying to sell this idea that having a few less draft picks has put you at some huge disadvantage

Pretty sure the secret has long been out in this league that draft picks aren’t really that valuable when the top 100 players are removed from the pool of available players and slotted as keepers every year.

As someone fully removed from the league by over a year, just a couple pro tips for the new person to think about before any of you try to scam him….. Saalty I’m looking at you.

if core keepers are most important and he placed 12th the year prior to me joining. why did he finish in 14th the next?

anyways, i'm not dumb. i know what i inherited

my first trade just happened to be for mookie

i got mookie the year he broke out. so i had trout and mookie when they were 1a and 1b mvps. my first pick in the league was lindor. so now youre looking at trout, mookie, lindor. but i think i traded lindor cause i had ian desmond in texas. pretty sure i kept desmond and traded lindor

i ended up trading mookie the year he was mediocre which put me back and i also traded a bit for miguel cabrera cause his profile was showing he was hitting the ball his hardest ever. lost on that one too

anyways, im willing to scrap my whole team if saalty is if we start on the same foot from scratch

im the only one that knows i had to go 96 picks in drafts without a pick

meanwhile saalty was stacking his elite relievers and finishing drafts 10 rounds early from depth

New guy, RIP. You’ll probably get taken advantage of even if only in a small way the first year. Best hope is to minimize the damage in year 1 so it’s not crippling for years to come as you get accustomed to everything.

We already see Saalty dealing spare parts that were never going to be keepers for him to upgrade his prospect slot. Dude is getting free upgrades already from people who still haven’t figured it out.

FYI that deal wasn’t Luis Robert and Tovar for Carroll. It was Luis Robert and Tovar for Carroll plus whoever Robert replaces in that keeper slot (not sure who it is, but it’s not a pure add of Robert. It’s Robert over whoever would have otherwise been kept, which is the subtraction piece that’s easy to overlook)

That’s how you should assess any deals coming your way.

In b4 Saalty gets mad I’m sharing insight he doesn’t want other people thinking about as he tries to manipulate himself into advantageous deals.

I obviously don’t have access to league history to check rosters and standings at this point but if you took over Ricardo’s roster after he finished 12th the year prior what are you referring to about him finishing 14th the next season? Wasn’t he out of the league after you took his team?

So I’m a bit lost with whatever you’re referencing.

And yeah you’re not dumb. So maybe stop pretending you didn’t inherit a very good set of keepers and spare us all the melodramatic bullsh*t for once. No one’s buying it and no one has bought it for years. Time to stop trying to sell what no one has ever bought.

I’m not saying Ty shouldn’t have made the deal. I don’t know his roster nor do I really even give a f*ck whether he made good deal or bad one.

I’m just pointing out it’s not Robert for Carroll. It’s Robert for Carroll plus whoever Ty dropped from that keeper slot.

This isn’t a normal roster trade where everyone else stays. If you bring someone else in to fill a keeper spot, you also lose someone in the process that was going to be in that slot.

I’m just trying to point out friendly tips for the new person that he may or may not recognize all on his own before the rest of you ass rape him.

Deal turned out be Luis Robert and Tovar for O'Neil Cruz and Corbin Carroll. That's exactly how it was sold to TyGuy. Deal was fair for both teams. Considering TyGuy needed an upgrade for his last hitting keeper. There was no free upgrade.

Like I said I’m not here to evaluate the trade.

Just thought I’d point out something may or may not be obvious to the new person as just a piece of friendly advice. Could be he’s able to recognize that all on his own without me but I thought f*ck it why not post just in case he doesn’t.

The trade was just the example to help make it more concrete to grasp the concept.

He's been in this league for how long now? No way he doesn't know this. Although it's Krazy so I guess it's possible.

Still can’t believe Krazy is pretending he inherited a bad team though.

Like I said I don’t have access to roster history but I’m pretty sure we did a deep dive in this to confirm that 4 of his 6 players were like top 5 guys at their position or something like that. Lmao yeah you were really hamstrung with that.

It’s true the team didn’t have much beyond the top 5 guys. But there was legit star power at the top end of that team Ricardo had.

Are you talking to me?

Why, so you can all just put players back on my team after I make a decision to remove them and add someone else?

Hard pass

We've done a deep dive and you are correct. The problem is all 6 of his keepers weren't top 5 at their position, only 5 of them were. Put him at a real disadvantage.

Ah man. This thread is gonna go back to being boring as sh*t after I leave here in like the next 30 minutes or so.

Nice temporary revisit of old times though.

So go hard and enjoy every workout, every set, every rep. Because one day you will wake up and you will never get it back."

Nice temporary revisit of old times though.
Does that make you feel important? How little do you have in real life ?

Anyways bye, this league or thread doesn't need you.

^^^ That's cute (2 posts up)
^^^ That's pathetic you saved that (1 post up).... I hope to God you just don't get repped/negged enough and it hasn't cleared your CP.

Anyway, bullsh*t aside I've been trying to misc less in general. Haven't been on much at all the last 2 months. Saying I'll never jump on misc is unrealistic of course, and I got a little bored tonight and thought first day of Spring Training f*ck it let's catch up on some A-League for a minute.

Been trying to buy a house recently and let me tell you these retards are still all overpaying like $100k for houses even with rates being higher. It's hitting that I may be stuck for another couple years if I want things to come back down to Earth. Was really hoping by Spring things would be more reasonable. I can overpay for something if I really want to but I just don't really want to out of principal.

We'll see. I'll probably jump back on here a few times over the summer to sh*t talk you all (because it's so easy). In real life, hope you're all doing well though. Even that liberal ph aggot up in Canada, JY wherever he is. See you all later!

It's the #2 rep/neg in my reputation. I dont venture out of the A League thread. I come here for baseball and that's all.

I hear you. My wife and I were trying to buy a house a couple summers ago. We were putting in bids $75k over asking while getting denied. We had to move due to her being in anesthesia school. We settled on an apartment for now. Really nice, it's expensive as **** though. She'll graduate next year. We were hoping for things to settle down by then and we could buy. If not I guess we'll wait it out. Like you, we can afford it I just don't want to buy something that over valued out of principle.

We always **** talk but at the end of the day I hope all is well.

There you go Krazy. You're constantly saying you're at a disadvantage with picks.

!
I started looking in 2019 and there was pretty much nothing worth buying. Then covid hit and there was lots of inventory but everything was 100k overpriced. The New York City exodus raped the market up here. Ended up settling for an 1100 sq ft condo with heat and hot water included in the HOA (~390 a month). Just waiting it out like you two, really want a house but not for 100k more than what it’s worth.

Same problem here. I live about an hour and a half from the City. We would go look at houses and there would be a line of cars outside all with NY plates. People would sell their house in the city and easily be able to pay cash for a house here. Can't compete with an all cash offer $75k over asking waiving all inspections.
