What’s the point of having more than one?

I guess 2 if you have a work one too.

One to have a good credit limit (usually has lame rewards and benefits)
Another that gives good benefits (usually has a chit credit limit)

3 but I'm canceling one so I get down to 2. I only had one for years but it keeps getting compromised so then I have to use the debit card for a week or two.

I have two personal cards. Pay them off every month.

Chase Sapphire Reserve for travel benefits, Priority Pass membership, Global Entry, pay yourself back (almost $3K last year), and points pile up like crazy.

Bank of America AK Air for $99 companion ticket, and mileage tickets.

2. One that I never use and should deactivate sometime soon.

The other is an airline rewards card because we travel to visit family every year. We use it for just about everything and pay it off every month

1

maybe 2

I would not want more. The major ones will match any incentive others offer for new cards.

I have two. One I've had for ~7 years I think, the other for like 5. The latter has an annual premium of like $100ish, but gives good rewards and points conversion bonuses. Both of them have outrageous limits I should never come even close to reaching lol, but that's not something I can control (they just up my limits every 1-3 years without asking me).

I think there's no point in having more than a few, even if you're an anal points maxer that craves for every dollar and deal. The big thing though is to ensure you pay everything off on time, keep up with where to use each one, and let your lifespan on them increase forever to help out with your credit score/history.

Oh and never open up a credit card at a store like Best Buy or something just because you can save like $200-300 or whatever on a TV you're buying.

- WF Active Cash Card
- WF Propel American Express Card
- WF Autograph Card

That is about it at the moment - hoping WF in their re-design make either a better travel card OR their own 5% category card

Credit don't matter. All that matters is the ability to pay it off.

I had 4 at one stage with a combined limit of 90k, none now. When my credit report repairs from telling them all to get stuffed and the debt collectors too (long story) in about 5 or so years ill build up another collection
