Just curious, since I'm no longer a strapping young man, when are we considered too old to enjoy the misc?

The average age of the misc has got higher as the misc has got older. There is fairly low turnover rate and so many of us have been here 10+ years. On the last 'how old are you' thread the AVERAGE age was late 30s!

In 2005, a 40 year old miscer would have been extremely rare. Now it is very normal.

This butt hurting from the right is tiresome. That's one thing I absolutely hate about this place - the constant whining about everyone is hurting your feewings. Honestly, no one gives a damn. Stop basing your personality on being a victim just because your tax dollars paid for five cents worth of scrambled eggs on poor kid's free lunch. I can't imagine any of our ancestors going into histrionics over something like that, but the right acts like Jesus Christ, martyred on the cross. Gets old.

It’s funny how the trending thread topics also follow sort of the typical crisis suffered by the median age Miscer — e.g., the obsession with looking youthful, “I’m in my prime now at 33, last girlfriend was 19,” the “Norwood Reaper” obsession, etc as the bulk of posters passed from their 20s to early 30s.

I think the an sociological analysis of the Misc would tell an interesting story about the development of popular culture for a certain sub-demographic of middle to late millennials.
