Gonna put a ring on it bruhs, srs

Only a matter of time now…

I know some of you have already warned me against marriage…but I’ve decided I’m gonna take my chances, ded fuggin srs. I’ve realized I’m not really attached to anything in this world. I’m not materialistic and generally don’t gaf about any of my possessions…so fears of divorce grape don’t really register with me. But aside from that…she appears to be perfect in virtually every aspect. You’d be a fool not to try and lock it down…if ever there was a time to shoot my shot, it’s now.

Plus, I only really care about family now…well my family, but if I had a family of my own it’d be different. She wants a family, comes from a two parent household, has siblings that are happily married with large families. I’m not getting any younger…I need to bear offspring that will continue to height mogg the manlets, srs.

I think I’m going to date her for another month or two, introduce her to the family and barring any setbacks, I’m going to legit ask her. I’ve dated some chicks for years and it never felt right…but this one feels completely different.

Hold me bruhs…

Cliffs:

Decided I’m gonna propose only after a handful of dates. Will maybe wait another month or two. May invite misc to wedding.

There are a lot of weird people on the misc. It's a necessary life skill to know what to ignore and what posts to ignore.

A lot of them are anti marriage but I honestly think it's bad advice. Could be the best thing you've ever done, and it's extremely valuable in life to go through life with a partner, someone to share all your stories with, someone who knows all the history and experience all the new stuff together with, starting a family, etc.

She most likely won't cheat on you and you two won't split if you both just try hard through the tough times in marriage.

Good luck brah, go for it.

Shutting this down.

The extreme negativity, mysogany, hate, and pure idiocy a lot of you "men" post here daily truly makes me cringe Irl.

The reality here is: OP found a woman he loves and wanted to marry. Did it in an unconventional venue, and was a success. Good for him! Don't be such a negative ******* for the sake of beig a dick...

The insane amount of comments degrading women also has to stop. I'll begin mass banning for those comments when I see them. So knock it off.

OP has more life experience than the vast majority of the misc, with the average age being around 22, and knows his relationship better than anyone here. Who the fuk are you to tear him down? Get a life. Truly.

OP. I wish you the best of luck. It sounds like you've found a winner.

Congratulations. While they wouldn't admit it most of the misc would love to be married. Too many black pills swallowed and regurgitated on here because yes sometimes people get screwed over, but what is life without risk? People get screwed over in a millions ways in life, usually by not thinking ahead. People site marriage stats in a fatalistic way, as if its a roll of the dice but that isn't right. Today most divorce is people in their 20s who do so because finances cause a rift or they feel like they're missing out because they didn't get their freak on enough while single, or they married and the other person revealed who they really are afterward. Especially given your future wife's background it sounds like she isn't prone to being surrounded by people who will push her in a bad direction.

I've been divorced and I look back knowing there were red flags I simply refused to look at, too many complications that put me in very high risk of getting divorced. And yet I got through it and even did it again. Misc is full of loathing about the world and plenty of self loathing, so there's no reason to take what people here or other places say with too much seriousness. Just make sure you play through in your head the possibilities of hard times ahead that you can control, make sure you're getting married for the right reasons and you'll be okay. Again congratulations.

Nah not this time. If I were, I would’ve been married a long time ago and likely left as a shell of a man with many regrets.

Thanks bruh…I feel the same way about past relationships. I saw so many red flags that I couldn’t bring myself to take the next step up from dating. Id literally date someone for years…probably delaying the inevitable with a lot of internal conflicts on what I should do. But this girl is different. How the heck I’ve managed to stumble across her and she hasn’t been taken is mind blowing. She’s very shy and likely doesn’t put herself in a position to meet people. Just a strange string of coincidences (or something else ) that brought us together at this moment in time.

Just short of two months…I can’t stress enough how this woman checks all the boxes, srs. I’ve dated a lot of women in the past. I know red flags when I see them. This woman is deeply religious, right leaning (even more than me and check sig), comes from a solid home and upbringing, is very attractive (southern belle type), shy, a virgin and wants to wait till marriage, and she’s very kind and wants similar things out of life that I do. There’s only been one other time I’ve met a girl (didn’t attempt to date bc she was in a dying relationship at the time and I was circling like a buzzard) that met all that criteria…but things just didn’t work out. The marriage kind are just rare. I feel like dragging this thing out is just delaying the inevitable.

Don’t disagree. I will say my age on here is inaccurate. I have no idea why it says 53 unless I put something in wrong. I’m in my 30s.

However I'm definitely not against marriage. In July I'll hit 20 years.
