BRB- I predict the conditions are in place for another forest fire to occur at some point in the future

BRB - forest fire happens

BRB- no need to investigate for foul play, I already predicted the ingredients were in place for this so let’s just ignore any evidence that may suggest arson and chalk it up to nature

Things definitely seem to be warming up. China called us out in the past week and basically said they were sick of our sh!t. Now we’re ramping up the whole “emerged from a lab” narrative. As far “what it’s designed for” it could just mean GOF research and not specifically that they intended to kill millions of Americans. Though obviously they have no issue killing countless Americans via ******** so no reason to think they wouldn’t do something like that if they thought they could get away with it.

First we get the CHINESE SPY BALLOON, the very NEXT WEEK WE GET CHINA LAB WAS SOURCE OF COVID, then the MSM tells us that China is set to arm Russia (with no actual proof)

what did I miss..

Yes. I've posted over 40 peer reviewed studies that confirm that. The studies that show otherwise speak more to mask mandates rather than actual masks themselves as they lump together regular and more casual mask use. So yeah... the mask mandates weren't effective but the studies still show that masks do work if used properly in reducing the chance of infection.

You've already asked me this about sitting next to someone with a mask and I said I already have. I actually visited my mother when she had COVID and she wore a mask and I didn't catch it.

That is the same video as in the mail story.

IIRC (you will know and have a copy of it saved somewhere) when we were discussing dual use issues in the early days of covid, ecohealth alliance was refused funding, for adding a furin cleavage site, from I think the DoD (it might have been DARPA, but definitely some part of the DoD IIRC) due to concerns regarding dual use.

They were concernced about the tech being able to create a weapon.

What Wray said wasn't black and white, as he doesn't express himself as clearly as somebody in that position should, but it definitely didn't sound good.

masks do not work. Show me one study pre-covid showing masks stop viral transmission....back in May of 2020 the CDC released the results of 14 individual studies conducted by various universities and medical institutions on the effectiveness of the mask in preventing the spread or preventing contracting the influenza virus, which is 220 nm's on average. The results were all the same. Neither did the mask slow down or prevent the spread of the virus nor did it prevent or slow down the infection rate of the virus.

So if the masks do nothing for the influenza virus why would it be effective against a much smaller virus?(covid)

CDC- Volume 26, Number 5—May 2020
Nonpharmaceutical Measures for Pandemic Influenza in Nonhealthcare Settings—Personal Protective and Environmental Measures

“In our systematic review, we identified 10 RCTs that reported estimates of the effectiveness of face masks in reducing laboratory-confirmed influenza virus infections in the community from literature published during 1946–July 27, 2018. In pooled analysis, we found no significant reduction in influenza transmission with the use of face masks (RR 0.78, 95% CI 0.51–1.20; I2 = 30%, p = 0.25)”

" we found no significant reduction in influenza transmission with the use of face masks "

UK government figures stated that the chance of catching it from somebody in the same house was 1 in 6 and from your spouse was 1 in 3.

Yeah it was this thread, and it was DARPA who rejected funding for Ecohealth's Project Defuse:

That goes in to some of it, but it wasn't the thread I was thinking of. I was thinking of the one where we discussed dual use. It is possiible that I have elements of multiple threads mixed up in my head though, as the discussions were fast and furious for a while.

How people can read that stuff and say it definitely wasn't a lab leak boggles the mind. We do not know for sure, one way or the other, as there is no smoking gun, but I consulted some dude called occam and his razor told him that it was a leak.

There are limits to the analogy though. Forest fires are a not uncommon occurence, and if all the conditions are in place for a forest fire (high winds, extreme humidity, blaring sun along with everything climate change is doing), and a forest fire occurs, it's natural and reasonable to simply accept our predictions came true.

Does this mean we say foul play is impossible? No. But it does mean we can reasonably assume a natural event in line with our predictions and change our mind if solid evidence of foul play arises.

FWIW, we do have some good evidence which rules out intentional design or manipulation which makes the lab leak very implausible. If it wasn't being manipulated or designed, WTH was it doing in a lab?

That wasn't me trying to prove whether or not masks work... that was to answer his question ofwould I sit next to someone wearing a mask who had COVIDand I was simply stating that I did. And I also know couples who didn't spread it to one another as well, which isn't very surprising to me as plenty of couples sleep together having flu, colds, strep, sinus infections, etc etc and don't transmit it to the other.

The evidence on the masks working is based on the studies I have previously posted. Are they 100% effective? Of course not. But in the studies observed, there was reduced transmission in settings where masks were used. An example is on an airplane flight from China to Canada where an infected passenger wore a mask and no one on the plane got infected. Could be a coincidence, however when 40+ more peer reviewed studies come to the same conclusion, that is not something we can completely just ignore.

One of the things that I think is probably the reason for the reduced transmission is the viral load that goes out into the air. There is more evidence coming in that shows the viral load of COVID that one is exposed to not only determines whether they get infected but how sick they will actually get. So it's possible that those exposed to high viral loads were far more symptomatic and those exposed to less were potentially asymptomatic, and therefore potentially infected but never knew.

Once again... I'm on record saying that the maskmandateswere ineffective in my opinion. However, that doesn't mean I will ignore dozens of studies that concluded masks had an affect on reducing transmission. People tend to think that the two are the same and they are not.

You're trying to twist my words. I said masks can prevent you from getting it... not the non-infected person wearing it but the infected person wearing it. I don't remember exactly how long I was in the room with her and I didn't measure the distance. I am sure I have sat next to many people with COVID... masks on and not. It's possible that I caught it from her or someone else and just never got symptoms. Actually, I went out partying with 2 of my friends on 2 separate occasions and both called me up a couple days after telling me they got COVID but I never did. I even took the test a few of times because I couldn't believe that I wasn't catching it and everyone around me was.... but I kept testing negative.

Indeed.

Also that immune response is directly related to viral load of exposure and thus severity. Yet another reason why I think people should weigh the health risks of infection against the health risks of vaccination if they are concerned with which form of acquired immunity they receive. But that was a different derailed thread

There is so much documented evidence surrounding them wanting to make a furin cleavage site coronavirus, which coincidentally matches the one from wuhan, that anybody who rules out a lab leak is dishonest or developmentally challenged.

Meanwhile, as far as I can tell, the only “evidence” that it occurred naturally is that it’s theoretically possible it could have occurred naturally(though seemingly unlikely).

Liberals literally will not believe the obvious truth if conservatives tell them it, they're a cult, they'll believe men can be women and natural immunity doesn't work anymore and BLM riots help stop the spread

but a virus coming from Wuhan labs where they mess around with viruses? IMPOSSIBLE

While conservatives need to believe a lab-created virus was/is harmless

Harmless compared to the draconian measures implemented not just here, but around the world.

You guys have to stop adding to threads like these after a couple of days. It becomes the anti-science ronaholic, govern-me-harder-daddy pawns denying reality and evidence. Seeing them embarrass themselves so hard, clinging to early 2020 political narratives gets super cringey. I'll laugh as hard as the next guy when a half tard slaps themselves in the face once or twice. By the time they've slapped and punched themselves in the face a dozen times in a row I feel the need to interfere so they'll stop hurting themselves.

Stupidity and ignorance have no limits. I cringe a bit at egging them on to display it for us.
Yeah Buddyyy! Light weight! Light weight baby!!!!

Yeah and it's crazy how Ecohealth didn't let anyone know about the proposal until it was discovered like over a year-and-a-half later. What he did instead was put together that Lancet letter with the scientific community condemning anyone as a wild conspiracy theorist if they said it was a lab leak.
