FCX (Freeport McMoRan) has been my best stock pick this year brahs. Up 70% so far (srs). FCX is the largest publicly-owned pure-play copper miner, and they also have exposure to the other metals that naturally come with copper (notably gold and molybdenum, which is used in steelmaking). Copper is GOATed ong fr due to long-term structural deficits in the industry (there is nowhere near enough copper production worldwide to meet demands related to energy transition and planned infrastructure buildouts) and gold and molybdenum make for nice currency hedges (srs). Would recommend this 10/10 mining company to more brahs if they are interested in acquiring hard resource production capabilities to weather these tumultuous economic times ahead

Bonds still ripping. when is the next chance for a hike March 21?

10 year at 4% now. Laddering 13 week-6 month bills is yielding around 5%. Much higher than that and people are gonna say fuk equity

25 BPS next meeting (90% locked in) pretty much guarantee its 25BPS this coming meeting

25 BPS May (90% locked in )

25 BPS June (70% locked in)

than 50/50 on hike July 25 bps or no hike.

after that its hold it at 550BPS till March 2024.

so no rate cuts now till March 2024. (good luck with that hahaha)


back end is hard to predict.

nobody has clue whether something goes boom year from now.



IF nothing goes boom by march 2024.

Fed will pull off soft landing.

It will be miracle if they can achieve it. Jerome would retire and leave legacy as fed president of all fed presidents.

there has been massive fraud on data reporting since October on CPI / PCE (8 revisions done for every month going back)

The idea of a video card company trading at a 100+ P/E is hilarious to me (srs). As if there is anything NVIDIA is doing that Intel/AMD can't do (or at least, that the early-mover advantage NVIDIA has is worth hundreds of billions of dollars). NVIDIA made their strides in AI/GPUs before Intel or AMD put any effort into either of the two areas... now that they are trading at a 100+ P/E, they finally have competition at the door for the first time (because the market opportunity has become obvious, whereas it wasn't obvious 10 years ago that a GPU business could ever be worth a trillion dollars). When money suddenly enters the picture, the landscape changes... Intel and AMD can hire engineers ($500B is a large budget) and accomplish similar things NVIDIA did, or at least enough to create significant competition which doesn't really mix well with 100+ P/E multiples

Fuking lol, those better be some ridiculously good video cards to be commanding a 100 P/E

The cash cow for Nvda is data center.

NVDA gpu are god tier atm (they have massive advantage over AMD on gpu front) but nvda itself as whole nope at this valuation.

They told everyone here that they expect gaming to cliff dive / data center to go flat.

But because you throw around word AI around a lot.

Investors go omg amazing. Future is here.

Hence why Tesla investors will tell you robo taxis are real thing, their model 3 will eventually make you money one day while you sit at home talking to chatgpt.


Lot of stocks have build in hopium.

There is no bigger sell than technology sector for hopium.

Exxon isn't going to come out tmmrw with new shiny tech that any boomer is going to want to chase.

The most powerful PCs I buy in medical all use Nvidia cards. We buy only buy top of the line gaming PCs for scans.

Why that is, idk, just figure they are the best when money is no object.

I mean, it sounds exciting. I assume the shingles were revamped. Haven't looked into that.

I’ve bought some 13 week. I figure in the following month I’ll go longer dated. I presume by June I’ll be jumping into 10 year with 5-5.5 yields

I haven’t been able to get misc to work on my computer in ages. But anyone wanna look at CANO earnings and see what you think? They took a $320m goodwill impairment charge that made their quarterly earnings look like absolute dogshyt. I think given the amount of interest in primary care they are still a prime buyout candidate. If they tank harder than the $1.25ish they were trading at AH today it might be a solid buy for calls expiring 2024 in the $2-3 range. Still expecting a buyout tbh.

Meh I see opportunity in this presuming they get their cash flow right. Primary care is recession proof and there are a lot of buyers trying to break into the field. It isn’t cheap to get started or grow quickly. I think they will figure it out, but interested to see what people’s thoughts are on their last earnings.

Yield %s here are pretty skewed because I had used previous gains to buy SU so the actual book cost is quite a bit lower than shown, but scope out the regular dividends as of 4Q22

Question for the group, if an insider owns 90% of the shares and short interest is 15% is the 15% measured on the 10% or is it wrong? How can it be greater than 10% if the insider owns 90%?
I doubt insiders would short their own stock?
