Yep, this x10000. All of a sudden a cold made societal outcasts like chit smearer and wincel who had only ever felt rejection in life feel like they were a part of something. They finally had a community of other miserable people to be a part of. Empowered to talk chit to chad in line at the grocery store because he was 5.5 feet away from them not 6, and actually have others in society support them for the first time.

It’s totally a liberal thing. Always better to bring everyone down to the level of chit bags than to have all the chit bags better themselves

No. I've explained what a Ronaholic was to you several times, have I not? So at this point you are either legit dumb AF or are intentionally acting stupid for some reason.
So it's okay to discuss covid as long as one supports the narrative?

No, I wish you would all STFU about it.

But we both know that's never going to happen, don't we. And that would be why we call you all Ronaholics and Covidcels.
It's a hot night. The mind races. You think about your knife: the only friend who hasn't betrayed you, the only friend who won't be dead by sunup. Sleep tight mates, in your quilted chambray night shirts.

It’s ok to discuss it as long as the discussion is done in a good faith attempt to gain further understanding. And yes people on both sides are guilty of being hesitant to change their minds and also too quick to attack others. But as far as I can tell the people pushing the “official narrative” have been wrong much more than the people who were skeptical about things. And if you’re(not specifically you, but anyone’s) views ALWAYS seem to line up with the official narrative(pushed by people who are known to REPEATEDLY lie for profit and power) then it may be considered indicative of a lack of critical thinking skills.

Here’s an idea, let’s all try to list 3-5 things we’ve changed our minds on due to additional information being exposed. I’ll start.

1.) I originally though my the virus evolved naturally. I quickly became very skeptical of that position for various reasons and changed it, so now I think it is much more likely that it was manipulated in a lab.

2.) I originally thought Covid was much more dangerous than it really is(even OG Covid). By the middle of 2020 though it was becoming increasingly clear it was of little concern to me personally, and not much of a threat to the vast majority of people under 65 and/or in good health.

3.) while I did not think the injections would be terribly effective, I thought they would do a much better job than they do. I had low expectations and still had to lower them even further when it become obvious they don’t do much to stop infection or spread, and I don’t think they do a whole lot for minimizing symptoms except for a during a very small window of time which is inconsequential unless you get Covid during that specific period

4.) I thought that heart related side effects would be much more common than they are. While I do think they are a concern, I probably overestimated how common they would be

5.) very early on I thought masks would help in a substantially meaningful way. Now I don’t think they do much of anything other than add literal tons of trash to the planet and give people a pacifier.

Now your turn.

Some people can't let it go because they were so traumatized by it, clearly. All the lies, disinformation, hysteria. I pity them, as it must have been such a central thing in their lives.

Speaking of though, do you have any thoughts on the video, or do you just plan on queefing about definitions.

My 3-5 things:

1) Initially I thought it was droplet transmission, but later realized it was airborne.

2) I did not expect the virus to mutate this quickly, and I expected Omicron to kill a lot more people, but it ended up being pretty mild.

3) I grossly overestimated liberty and the ability of the general public to understand things. Went into covid a fairly libertarian minded person and left it wanting idiots rounded up into reeducation camps. I used to be very opposed to authoritarian regimes, and now I am far more sympathetic to them.

4) I didn't think the research at WIV counted as GOFROC, but after some DARPA proposals were leaked, I think there should have been more scrutiny over that, and I worry about what was actually done there.

5) I was amazed at how fast we developed vaccines, and I have to hand it to Orange Man for helping make that happen.

Bonus (vaguely related to covid but has to do with 2020):

6) I was wrong about Orange Man. Orange Man is still bad. But Old Man is 100x worse and doubled down on all of Orange Man's bad decisions and made some new ones that threaten WW3. I hate Orange Man and think he is unfit for office. But I will be voting for him over Old Man next election.

It's the usual GBD suspects and friends of RFK Jr.

Cochrane review wasn't "definitive". Myocarditis isn't more common following vaccination than infection. I agree mandates did more harm than good, but that's been my position all along.

Hey wincel, what's that you're always telling us? "You're not a doctor!"

These guys are though.

"Medical science experts from Harvard, Johns Hopkins, and Stanford testifying before Congress.."

But... meh. The homebound online math tutor who can't function in life clearly knows better than them.

Then ask yourself if he is a credible agent, as are any on that panel of usual suspects who essentially opposed any and all intervention to covid. Remember when Ioannidis predicted most of Cali already had it? Jay and Martin kept declaring the pandemic was over long before it was. Remember how they were wrong about literally everything and had we listened to them, millions more would potentially be dead? These are just the same GBD crew returning for clout again.

I urge you to again look at the Cochrane review study on masks.

https://www.cochranelibrary.com/cdsr...6207.pub6/full

Again, much of the public appears unaware of confidence intervals.

https://www.ncl.ac.uk/webtemplate/as...intervals.html

This means the authors are uncertain on their conclusion, which doesn't mean masks don't work. It means they don't know. They totally can work, as you can see from the huge confidence interval. In other words, the meta analysis isn't saying much of anything at all. But that won't stop people from weaponizing it.

I'll also add that based on physics and actual laboratory tests, we actually know how well masks filter covid. Those studies have been posted a zillion times and are easily googled.

Inb4 Paul Fool's "muh n95 works like a sieve because I want to completely ignore electrostatic filtration hurr durr".

Seen. Heard. And absolutely raped your unvaccinated antiscientific butthole.

Good day.

TLDR: N95 has not been shown not to work by the review. Media has misinterpreted the study. The study instead couldn't show they work. The study is a meta analysis itself and not a great source of evidence.
Wrong and lying/misrepresenting everything as usual. Spam us with more gay porn, anti-science fhaggot. Things working inside a lab, then not working outside a lab is a story older than lab coats. LOL at you dudes who've never worked in either health care or a lab commenting about these subjects, crapping on world renowned scientists and gold standard researchers. And it's hilarious all you can do is sperg about masks when he anally rekt a much broader range of Covid lies and insanity.

What makes you think nobody has worked in healthcare or a lab?

Regardless, there are incorrect statements made in the video clip.
