It's OK. I heard from reliable sources (sillie and patty) that it's only one book, in one library so nothing to worry about

Why can't they just teach math and science?

What is sad is they never have actual useful books. Like tons of kids I teach don't use textbooks in class. Not for math, not for chemistry, and not for physics. It's like bruh. Really? No books? It's not like the district can't afford them either. In fact, there are even free books available online. They choose not to use them. Apparently reading is racist now.

Apparently kids hardly ever read the book anyway so they decided to stop using it? But some do. The gifted kids do, and should have that option. Also, if people fuking had parents who beat their kids, they could force kids to fuking read.

In their effort to "close the gap", it seems schools are going after gifted kids and robbing them of opportunities by gimping them doing chit like this.

So in order to protect this middle school kid from this book, his parent used him and forced him to read it at a school board meeting? So much for protecting this poor child..

And while we're on this topic, should states pass laws holding parents accountable if they have books like this at home? Or if the parents don't block all internet porn?

And no, I'm not making the argument that if it's ok at home its ok at school. So save your breath with all that. I'm looking at this from a parents rights vs state laws issue.
