ITT: describe your lifting/training goals for this week (and beyond)

On my end, business as usual. Heavy pull day today followed by legs mid-week and a heavy push day Friday morning bright and early. Now that the weather is milder and the snow is beginning to melt, I'll be doing some more hiking in the mountains soon. I like to get out and do some kind of exercise on a daily basis (outdoors, mind you).

Soon will be the time to train in my garage blood n guts dungeon gym with the door open, letting the brisk spring breeze enter and cool down my hot and sweaty sack dangling out of my holed up 70s lifting shorts.

Currently cutting until end of May and it's going really well. Feel free to post your longer-term lifting goals beyond this week.

And remember - we're all gonna make it.

For your time......

*Drive 2 minutes in the summer and back of shirt gets completely wet crew*

Business as usual here too but I'm also currently trying to work through extremely irritating forearm flexor pain (Could be tennis elbow but it's more in my forearm) so I can't go nearly as hard on arms and it burns me up.

I started lifting 6 months ago after a break of more than 5 yrs, feel good to be back, especially now that I have a different approach ( track weights / reps, less volume, more intensity, each muscle group 2 times / week ) HHhnngg when that posterior chain work kicks in and u feel like a gorilla walking around.
This week I hope I'll be able to do OHP 62kg x6 - 3 sets, been struggling with OHP, and I hope to recover enough to be good for armwrestling practice this weekend, last weekend ripped me off.

Biggest goal this year is to reach 100kg for reps on some of my upper body exercises like overhead press, bbrow, incline db press. Currently on "Fierce 5" Comprehensive Program - Intermediate upper - lower and its going great, I do feel like I need to focus more on recovery and diet

Sounds close to where I'm sitting although I don't foresee myself dropping any more than 10 pounds.

Renchin on chit and power washing in the sun all day, but managed to horsecawk up 465x3 deadlift to start the week. Benching and squatting a heavy set of 3+. Goal is to hit 4 reps on my top sets this week in 5/3/1 while cutting. Getting stronger while getting leaner, but not my strongest. Ordered a scale last night so I can get daily morning weights logged and actually start fine tuning calories to see weight progress. Sitting at 191 mid day weight 10-12% BF, would like to be around 180 sub 10% and see where strength is at. 1200 total at 180 single didgit bodyfat would be good. Been running a 16/8 fast 5x/week with 20-24 hour fasts on the weekend. Managing 6-10 miles a week running. No idea where calories fall, so should be good to track that for a week and start making decisions.

Got a 12 pack of 85% cocoa dark chocolate bars thinking the bitterness would stop me from over eating. At all of it in 8 days...so no more sweets in the house lmao. 600-700 extra calories of chocolate isnt exactly needed.

I've posted about this before, but I make myself this concoction I call 'protein pudding' while I cut and I eat this every day at 7pm. It's technically a 'triple chocolate black forest pudding.' What I do is mix chocolate whey, pure cocoa powder, a splash of cinnamon powder with dark cherry Greek yogurt and I add broken up 90% dark chocolate on top. I find it amazing. I look forward to it every day. It feels like a really decadent dessert because of the pure cocoa powder. It's super chocolatey.

Back in the day, I used to train in the evenings and then shifted to early mornings. I much prefer training around 7:30-8:00am now. I find it really sets you up for the day. Best of luck with this new endeavour.

Continue to work on adding about 5 more lbs to the frame this month. Going on a week-long backpacking trip in April and know I'll lose a few pounds so want to make sure I have them to lose. Working on those legs and core more to keep them strong.

No real set goals at the moment, just having some fun running a conjugate program for the first time. The constant exercise rotation and pushing max effort work has made gym sessions truly enjoyable again. Got a lot going on in life right now so it's a good time for lifting to be a breath of fresh air, and hopefully I'll see some decent strength gains over the next few months.

The goal is weight loss. I'm trying to lean out so I can get matches on dating apps. My high school height/weight was 5'7" 145, and I'd like to get back there. Starting weight was 164, I checked in at 156 yesterday, so almost halfway there.

Lifting's not as big of a deal, it's just about whatever takes weight off, but I've been doing arms 1x/week just to switch the exercise up. The main game is cardio 3x/week and staying strict with the diet.
