There are definitely a few undiagnosed autistic people here for sure.

I just don't think that's the majority here, not by a long shot, hence my disagreement with the comments.

EDIT: Then again with how often ADHD and Autism get misdiagnosed a majority of the members here very well could be undiagnosed and high masking.

Yea, I was diagnosed for ADHD but I line perfectly up with signs of autism in adults as well. yea im autistic. What I noticed is birds of a feather flock together, if you have a certain mental illness then you're more prone to meeting like minded people on similar platforms due to shared symptoms/livelihoods. e.g the misc

Autism used to be a super severe diagnosis and people who had it were ultra retards.

About ten years ago they changed the diagnosis so almost anyone could have it. That was to increase funding for the American Autism Association, which of course if horrible.

In psych, if something has a better explanation, you aren't supposed to give the diagnosis.

So, a person has thyroid issues, you don't say they are Clinically Depressed, and the same goes if they lost their job, mom died, divorced, etc. You go with the real life explanation over the mysterious mental illness one.

No now, mild autism could be described by shyness, having a single mom, having parents who sheltered you, social class, and many things like that. That means you have to see if all of that is happening BEFORE you say a person has autism.

There is no explanation for autism, it's a total mystery. However, if your mom kept you home all the time and now you don't know how to talk to people, guess what....you were raised incorrectly. You don't have a bizarre brain disorder.

If you REALLY had autism you wouldn't care and wouldn't post about it because you would be AUTISTIC and such people are locked inside of themselves and don't worry about it.

I’m almost positive if I was growing up today I would’ve been diagnosed on the spectrum ded fkin srs. I took an online autism quiz and scored 60% lol.

But I recently spent time with my girl babysitting one of her kid relatives who is actually autistic (nonverbal and everything… fuark I have sympathy for parents dealing with that). It made me rethink the autism thing because there’s a huge difference between having social anxiety, trouble relating to people, awkwardness, etc. and literally being developmentally disabled. I believe pediatricians are over-diagnosing kids nowadays which makes them weaker.

Most misc autists, myself included, are probably just fuking weirdos.
