I doubt insiders would short their own stock?
Shorts can be part of a hedged position right, but possibly more likely is naked shorting

I think Tesla needed to be ready to pull the trigger on a new model line and sell it soon tbh. We now know there is nothing coming in the next 2-3 years that will be super high volume like the 3/Y. With interest rates where they are and tax credits likely reducing then being offset by more costly domestic and free trade battery components/minerals…

You simply cannot flood the world with million upon millions of the same thing without creating downward pricing pressure. If I were a betting man, I’d say more downward pressure is coming and that will likely pressure margins.

Robotaxis etc are somewhere off in the relatively distant future if possible at all, at least generalized robotaxis.

I think it was because he mentioned the word "pause" at the end of the summer so the algos went wild.

going to try and sell a cash secured put for the first time sometime in the future.

let me know if this is correct.

for example, if I wanted to pick up 100 shares of AMD and collect premium is this how to do it.

Option type: PUT
Transaction type: Buy to open (is this correct?)
Option: 3/10
Price : $72
Quantity : 1
Limit Price: .10

Principal: $10
commission: $1
net: $11

if it hits $72, i better have enough funds to buy the 100 shares & collect $10

if it expires and doesn't hit $72, i collect $10 premium

It’s about time to short F and WBA for me. Picking $20 for WBA a year out. $9.35 for ford. Cost to borrow is gonna rail F and WBA is gonna start hemorrhaging as board of pharmacy complaints reach critical mass due to their inability to keep their stores open.

AI hype is very much real bros, but its hard to judge how much of a moat NVDA has, Id be ok buying in $180-200 range but I dont see it going down. I could see it forming a cult following like TSLA
HTC CREW

Are we still crashing right now?

This thread is sooo quiet now lol.

Most of this thread thought we were crashing and some were even rejoicing in profits just a week ago lol.

Commodities are reacting to Powell's testimony along with the overall market I think. If rates go higher and stay higher for longer, everything will be under pressure but companies that fare better will be those with lots of free cash flow and ability to do dividends, buybacks, etc.
