my analysis comes from the rules, if the fight happened in pride then I'd judge it off those rules. If we're abandoning all rules and going for dominance then we can score it that way too

Truth is we all forgot how good he is. He beat Gane before they ever stepped in the cage. I completely agree he looked so off and nervous trying to get himself together walking out to the cage and he confirmed himself until his coaches noticed including Greg Jackson, I don't think Jones would have won without him being there, pulled him in and told him exactly what he needed to hear at the time. Rewatching the fight his takedown was pretty ****ing based. He weaves the punch and instantly snatches his back





Honestly think any person is going down in that situation. The problem was Ganes **** tier defense once he actually got taken down, but the actual process was masterful. Funny because Gane was probably drilling singles/doubles the whole camp and then gets his back taken before he can even see his punch misses and dragged to the ground


In terms of movement I don't think we saw anything, it ended too quickly. Leg kicks looked slow but he himself said he felt Iffy on the feet. I bet he drops some weight for the Stipe fight assuming his gameplan is going to be exploiting the leg kicks rather than wrestlefuk

I don't follow UFC too much, last fight was the first time I had seen Jones fight at all infact.
Just got done watching this youtube Doc on Jones and his previous fights..



From an outsider that doesn't follow the UFC..Jones is pretty fukin cheap. srs. Every fight is either illegal hits, hits after the horn, eye gauges..I mean wtf, this dude can fight but the amount of cheap/illegal shots he takes is fukin insane.

The takedown was nice. But if Gane had any competency at all on the ground, the fight might not have ended less than 30 seconds later like it did

Jones barely got the chance to look great. Gane just looked terrible as soon as it hit the ground
