Haven’t watched or trained in MMA for a while, been watching and training since before UFC 1, oldcel checking in,
just came in here to laugh, the guy Jon Jones was fighting is an absolute embarrassment, if fedor fought someone like this in pride, it would be said that Fedor is fighting another can, and rightfully so, What’s even more stupid is people calling Jon Jones the goat, or whatever due to this fight, this is an absolute embarrassment, MMA fans have a memory span of a goldfish, every two weeks they have a new goat, as far as greatest of all time goes, 2005 Crocop destroys Jon Jones, let’s wait to see him fight somebody who at least looks like he knows what the **** he’s doing, but obviously Jon Jones is one of the greatest fighters of all time.

Cejudo is an interesting guy. Never understood the hate, I think he's awesome. Always has had entertaining fights.
Had two major turning points in his career that could have made things really different
1) he probably lost to DJ in their second fight
2) he retired to get more money from Dana and Dana called his bluff
smart entertaining guy. clearly a good coach.

Main takehome points for me:
1. Cody still has no chin and has employed a 'dance around the cage' routine and turned into a point fighter, constantly fixing his hair.
2. Valentina is a sore loser. HOWEVER that ref is a fkin retard in that fight, and completely changed the course of how things were going. Standing them up when she had control on the ground and was landing shots, and after what 30 seconds? Seems fixed to me.
3. Glad I didn't watch it live because the Jones fight was boring as hell. Fake Jones thanking Jesus un sheeeit just lmao

My friends IRL that don't watch MMA were saying Jones would win based off highlight reels which is what most people went off, actual analysts didn't count Gane out and many chose him. I guess you mog them though
Francis also got mauled by Stipe and then trained grappling nonstop. It seems like Gane didn't even do that this fight, but I won't take anything away from Jon

I seen someone say something interesting. Gane should go to MMA Academy and train with Jones. Jones can teach him grappling while Ganes will be a great striking sparring partner for his next couple/few fights. Jones himself said he felt iffy on the feet and Gane would be a great guy to level this up against
That would be straight up the best idea for Gane but it's a question if he's too nice to leave his coach behind. Look what happened to Francis after he left the same coach, dramatic improvement.

Top level big guys (especially strikers) are not used to getting bullied / fighting from the bottom as a result of naturally how few guys there are of that size and skill level.
Jon was questioning how much suffering Gane was doing with his ground work, and to a certain degree I think it was apparent. Gane going to Cejudo or Jackson, and living in their wrestling room would do wonders in filling the big hole in his game. Wrestling rooms are meat grinders, and will be a real test of how badly he wants to be champ.
Gane has good submission skills for a HW and amazing striking, so getting continually worked over and mauled wrestling will only make all the other parts of his game better.
