Used to all the time for our shop until they started sneaking the winning bids to their fellow mexicans (Were silent bid auctions), and other actual mexico mexicans eventually started bidding very insane anounts.

Completely varies on many things. We bought wrecks for parts.

Tread lightly. I went to one and if a dealership wanted a car for their lot, you will be ignored. If the car is junk, they'll let you get it

This. Also bring a code reader with you. I almost bought a car because it wasn't throwing codes, until I realized the fukker unplugged the battery to reset the car. The car usually needs to drive 100-200 miles before it throws the code again. If you notice a car was recently reset, stay away from it. Auctions are risky, as you can make out with a steal of a deal or get fukked. You will also probably have to buy new tires and breaks, so keep that in mind. (Ded fkn Srs)

Unlike what you see on TV shows, this type of stuff takes a lot of time and effort to find anything that's not junk. Not worth it imo.

You can usually tell by running an emissions readiness test on your scanner. Some cars take quite a bit of time to pass that.
