Medieval peasants worked 20 hours a week

American workers average 37.5 hours a week

They also only worked 120 days a year or less. Americans work double the amount of days

Yah but that doesn’t count the work you did to support yourself iirc. It was just 20 hours toiling for a lord or land owner. Even housework went from 58 hours (1900’s) to 18 hours (1975) to a few hours a week(today). Think making or mending clothes, killing cleaning meat, washing clothes by hand, fetching water ect. Also it was closer to full time but they usually had 6 months off. Making it average 20 hours

Average lifespan was low mostly because of high infant mortality
