Cholesterol up on a cut?

You ever see it spike way up while cutting?

I've never actually done bloodwork on a cut. Just had it done and its fukking way up there. Is my tour over?

If you lost a decent amount of weight, it's temporary.

All your lard melted and is in your blood stream.

Lost about 8lbs in the last month. Not a crazy amount.

Not really. Slightly upped my cardio. Diet changed obviously, to about 40/30/30

How is your saturated fat intake?

I know this will anger a wrath of miscers, but my LDL levels skyrocketed when I was eating too much saturated fats. I lowered my intake to no more than 25 grams a day and it's back within normal range. (Ded fkn Srs)

Pretty low. I eat mostly chicken breast or lean meat with rice. Eggs and low fat cottage cheese every morning.

What about fiber intake?

30-40 grams per day has been proven to significantly lower cholesterol as well. I supplement with Metamucil btw. (Ded fkn Srs)

Rapid weight loss can cause a spike, slow your cut down, or if you don't care, measure again when you are done.

This is pseudo science if I ever heard it. Fat loss lowers cholesterol, what's likely is that op is eating more sat fat and dietary cholesterol than usual while on the cut.

Is it though? Makes sense for it to spike in the short term.

At first I suspected you might be on dat keto time but I guess not

You got the test 12+ hours fasted right? If not that will skew numbers

If you're on a calorie deficit it should eventually go lower so I say re-test in a month or two

Doesn't look like you're that out of ref range either

Once you stop losing weight, test again 2 months later. Weight loss can cause testing numbers to go haywire for awhile.

Accepted fact is pseudo science
Food cholesterol effects blood cholesterol

I'm not saying that losing weight will cause you to permanently increase your cholesterol levels, I'm saying that (from everything my doctor told me) during weight loss, as your body is burning fat, more of it is visible in your blood. There's a spike that returns to your normal/baseline levels after some time.

Fat cells are bags that are full of stuff. Mostly water, which, but also other things which does include triglycerides and cholesterol which is mobilized to burn as energy when cutting. It can go up, provided it's not super high I wouldn't care. Mine is naturally high, I'm not worried.
All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident.

I see, i might have misunderstood you. Yes, dietary cholesterol certainly raises serum cholesterol. The temporary fluctuations may also be due to more cholesterol being produced by his liver.
