Candle on WTI future today was longs getting steam rolled and margin called.
That kind of move leads to quick bottom and pop up.
Crude hit $65 and retraced now how real that bottom turns out to be we don't know.
7 months range for WTI was $72-80

Why are oil majors down 15% this week brahs (just crude prices)? TTE is one of my big holdings, should I buy more brahs?

over crowded trade ^^^^^^^^
they sat in that play for 2 years basically
WTI futures was bloodbath yesterday
lot of longs got crushed
wti is still on lows today
any moment Opec + is gonna scream murder and yell production cuts
why SPR isn't refilled here is bizarre.

of course they did that came out this morning.
banks getting $2 trillion in liquidity injection.
like I said few days ago
rich guys don't lose that SIVB failure was VC fund bros getting together to create bank run to force Fed to print more money.
it was all complete setup.
$2 Trillion was just printed because banks too big to fail.
when will people realize Fed is everything.

Meh Burry has spent a lot of time creating new accounts or opening his up (not sure how Twitter works), tweeting out wrong stuff, and then deleting
The more he does it, the more I start to think a broken clock is still right twice a day. Make one crazy move that works and it's all people focus on.

see how that works
Fed just injected $300B back into balance sheet

QT more like QE
check here
zoom right in
https://fred.stlouisfed.org/series/WALCL
they just reversed 6 months of QT in one swoop

now that run on NVDA and all tech makes sense.
this is fed printer.

they were running QT because there is too much money floating in markets (you know inflation)
they were letting balance sheet run off
now that 2 banks went boom cause they didn't understand rookie mistake of hedging interest rates
now next week Jerome will have to explain how giving banks do over is gonna help with inflation.
you can see this froth in stock market today
NVDA is now on 150 p/e
how this moves forward nobody knows. does this end well or just snowballs into something bigger.
maybe Fed goes well you know what 2% inflation goal is not possible lets do 3% or 3.5%
I don't give shiit about politics but how Jerome and Yellen are not fired for this move is something that might be factor later on.
Republicans should be hammering this till next years election.

If inflation gets out of control again they lose all credibility.

If inflation gets out of control again they lose all credibility.
10% of the population hold all the wealth and move the pawns.
Bank that had $160B deposits where 95% of cash was over $1 million was uninsured got lifted by FDIC on any amount because rich people have to be bailed out at every step.
In case you think I am kidding.
https://www.wsj.com/articles/kpmg-fa...-bank-42dc49dd
If you have $500K in saving account you will be covered only $250K in case that bank goes belly up.
Meanwhile if you're Bill Ackman you go on tv cry that market is crashing if 2 banks don't get bailed out and fed says okay no problem here is $2 Trillion injection banks, we will take your treasuries back any bank can dip in this program.
Only thing anyone should be concerned about is making as much money possible.
Figure out way to make money doesn't have to be just stock market.
Best thing I ever did was start trading futures. (its not easy but if your views go from who cares what happens in 6 months - 1 year trade right whats in front of you it just paper on screen.)
When sivb started tanking I shorted the market and waited for Sunday futures knowing that treasury/fed was going to backstop it all went long.
(just fyi since my outlook is now shorter term I really don't know what will happen 1 month now or 2 months from now)
Is there going to be another crisis in months time / 2 months time. This fed printer could all blow up in their face by end of year. Whatever happens gonna trade it.
Sorry if this post comes off angry. I am more thinking about regular people that we all know in real life that are balls deep in debt and don't know how to play the game.
If anyone got this far for anyone investing on 2-5+ year none of this means anything.
Just buy market as everyone does this changes nothing.
Retirement gonna be expensive so gonna need to keep investing.

Strange that Opec+
Has said noting about WTI going under $70.
Remember before Saudi would right away go we will cut production if oil goes below $85.
Crude hasn't reversed just hanging out at $65 ish.
That should help energy cost component of inflation and gas at pumps at least.
However at one point do smaller companies run into can't turn profit.

Interesting quotes.
“We’ve seen a decline in oil prices, we’re seeing some crunch there,” Hochstein told Bloomberg TV in an interview
“Nothing happens overnight. You have to decide that this is the right environment, so therefore you wait to see where the prices are going to be landing,” Hochstein told Bloomberg.

If oil did collapse, what are possible causes?
Pandemic? Recession? Surplus.
