I disagree that drag queens as whole want to have sex with children.

I suspect people organising these events desperately want to be accepted and those who attend desperately want to signal support.

The whole thing seems misguided to me.

I don't think banning things makes them go away.

You should read up and check your ethical values. There are clips in this thread that show sexuaiized drag queens that is even offensive to adults, but presented to children.

The event in the OP is a story hour. I shared a picture from a story hour. The books read aren't secret.

The photos posted by others are not from story hour events.

Fair enough. I am not saying all these drag queens want to have sex with children. But, the problem is, that some do and the way they act and some of their behavior around children - in public, makes anyone who cares, kind of wonder. Are there any other groups or individuals who make presentations to children that dress and behave sexually provocative like drag queens? IMO, drag queens are also being used by liberals as political pawns in addition to somehow supporting LGBTQ+.

I would fully support known books being read to children by regular people who are not an act or who are not controversial. But, that might be too hard to accomplish.

I will agree that a good part of it does come from desperation for acceptance and virtue signalling. But, there are many with perverse intentions, which has been proven.

Society is truly off the rails in the US and in Europe.

Here in the US, some, not all children, are the real victims and those are the ones I fight for.

A solution is to accept drag queens, but only for adult entertainment. There are better ways to introduce how people differentiate and there should be an agreed upon age by not only teachers and board members, but most importantly, the parents. Teachers Unions and some schools put parents second in line of notifications that can greatly affect children, such as CRT. For the children, parents come first.

If it's been proven that gay men want to have sex with children, please share the proof.

CRT is a different topic. From what I've seen, the most vocal opponents don't know much about CRT and think it's part of curriculum, which it is not.

Another solution is to enforce the laws that are already in place. Sexual content and nudity are restricted by age and/or parental consent.

IMO, unqualified people should not be designing and delivering school curricula.
