In regards to the bolded, corrupt big corporations incorporate DEI/DIE policies and have a handful of diversity hires not because they care about disenfranchised minorities and are bleeding heart Leftists, but because it makes them appear favorable to the masses. A good number of CEOs in addition to their employees of those companies/organizations think certain demographics are scum of the Earth and should be annihilated, they just can't say that publicly because it doesn't look good for the company. If consumers think something is done for the greater good of humanity and that these business are non-discriminatory, they feel compelled to continuing supporting, and purchase from said companies, subsequently leading to greater profits for these multi-billion dollar enterprises.

This form of virtue signaling is also done to prevent establishments from potential lawsuits, as well as to cover for very unsavory inhumane practices, that keep these conglomerates running in the first place, that are largely concealed from the mainstream public eye that would make the average person's blood boil if they knew of it. So in the event their evil is unearthed eventually, they can say "Well, okay we may have done some not so good things in this arena, but hey at least we support x, y, and z" in order to save face."

It's called woke washing, and it leads to otherwise corrupt agencies rated highly on the ESG scale and score, which leads these corporate entities being ranked on top lists of companies with "most diverse employees", companies who treat their employees fairly, companies who support xyz enviornmental/social/political cause even if said cause that is supposed to benefit the people is a façade and loophole for billionaires to receive tax breaks.

Human beings at their core are obsessed with rankings, lists, fake morality and perceived "goodwill". If something rates highly, be it a movie, a clothing line, a food, a political affiliation, a social movement, a cause even if it is actually abysmal at depths, the masses will still endorse it via purchasing power, promotion, and publicity due to the illusion of it's high score meaning something of tangible quality that will improve the lives of the day to day person.

It reminds me of how it was once pervasive to run these commercials of all these 'humanitarian" organizations traveling to poor countries, under the false pretense of saving children from poverty, starvation, and giving them a fighting at a decent life, but most of that funding and donations never went to those countries and/or the impoverished children and families that inhabited them, in fact these "Humanist NGOs" were actually used to conceal money laundering, human trafficking, and tax write offs for already very wealthy people, as well as lining the pockets of people who created those Non-Profits/NGOs in the first place.

Haven't you noticed that Colleges started to implement more "woke", "radical", but also lax rules as it pertains to administration, leadership, what is taught in their curriculum, and who they accept in the last few years? Why do you think that is? Well, because more people began thinking colleges were impractical and much too exorbitant for the average person, hence college enrollment began to rapidly decline, which leads to less resources, funding, and profit. Then there was that College Admission Scandals years ago that seems to have been all but forgotten by many people, where it was shown that various celebrities, politicians etc., bribed and bought their offspring into getting top ranking, elite and ivy league schools.

The heads of these institutions saw this bad publicity, and desperately needed to do something that placed themselves in the public's good graces again and create more future debt slaves, so they began to incorporate more Socialist, Communist, and Marxist activists type rhetoric into the curriculum, and permitted so-called discriminated people to be outspoken about hating those they deem to oppress the, and encouraged them to be vocal about it, and that colleges campuses would be a safe space for them to vent their frustrations with bigots, the most privilege, the status quo, authority and so on.
