It's extremely satisfying crafting something with your own two hands. I went from being a pipefitter to working in IT and let me tell ya, it is extremely unfulfilling. Even though I pretty much have the "dream job" of getting paid a pretty good amount to do literally nothing for a lot of the time. Buying a house though so now I can spend that free time on improvement projects.
