Miami Florida

Moving there in a couple of months for work...anyone got tips for living in Hialeah? I know Miami drivers suck and it's very Cuban/Spanish-speaking...aside from that what should I expect and where are the good/fun areas?

Ah so you don't even got a place yet. Yeah just find something not ghetto and you'll be fine. Doral is a fine area, Hialeah too if you find a decent house/suburb area. Westchester, Miramar, Miami springs, also probably logistically feasible if you will be working in Hialeah.


There are "nicer" places like said above. IDK about wynwood, but coral gables, coconut grove, Brickell. Nicer just means more expensive I wouldn't call it better than the places I said above.

Across the Miami river (a canal lol) is Miami Springs. It's Hialeah's neighbor. Much nicer. Miami sucks. Coral Gables is nice

I live in Hialeah and work in Doral. Its a straight shot on the 826. Takes me 30 mins @ 7:30am & 40-50 mins @ 4:00pm to get home. Its a 10 min drive with no traffic. So this is something to consider depending on ur schedule and tolerance for commuting. May be worth picking a spot in Hialeah.

Ideally I want to find a place that's within a 30 mins drive away to-and-from my job in Hialeah


My day-to-day will look like something like this:

Work at 7am - 5/6pm then hope to find time to cool off or gym in the afternoon without being around too much ghetto peeps or any noise complaints


I'm considering Miamar a place to live for like a year then probably move to Brickell area


I've lived in east Hollywood for a couple of months...it felt decent/okay-ish area

This is a rough estimate for your "30 minute" zone. Green lines are the 2 major highways relevant to your commute. Obviously commute time will vary on ur access to those and other factors. Sounds like you need to a pick an area you like and ask for more specific details as which is the nicer areas IN HIALEAH or DORAL etc as most of these places have good/bad spots. (not like projects bad, but ****ty apartment living bad)

They are building some new apts down the street from where I live. Prolly over priced n ****. But the neighborhood is just fine and close enough to ur work to not be a major bummer commute.
