Zelensky ran an election campaign on peace in Donetsk/Lugansk (there were 2 regions in the civil war that wanted autonomy from Kiev, not just Donbass). He went on TV and called for peace talks, and he called for the following of the Minsk agreement. This is the reality. This is why people voted him into office, he was the opposite of Poroshenko who was pro-civil war and that is why Poroshenko lost in a landslide, embarrassing election results for Poroshenko. Joining NATO has never been a popular idea in the East.
The only region you know, and you only know of it since this invasion happened in Donbass, but believe me, it's not just Donbass that was pro-Russian. As I said before, the MAJORITY of the people living in the East, from Odessa to Kharkov and everything in between, was spoken mainly and only in Russian by the citizens living there. People align more with their Russian heritage in the East, that's the reality. Central Ukraine and Kiev is like 50-50 probably and the further west you go the more the citizens align with anti-Russian policies and speak mostly Ukrainian.
Zelensky popular TV show was filmed 90% in Russian ayyLMAO, from start to finish. And it was basically the #1 watched series in Ukraine. In fact, if you understand the language (Russian/Ukrainian), you can even hear an accent in Zelensky when he speaks Ukrainian. Why? Because he spoke mainly Russian and only Russian his entire life, he had to switch once he became President. Before getting elected, he used to travel to Moscow and do comedy shows with other popular comedians(with people like Maksim Galkin), he would do skits on Russian TV. Look at any of Zelensky's comedy skits/routines, it's all done in the Russian language. There's a video of Zelensky giving a speech on TV saying he is ready to meet with Putin and saying how Russians/Ukrainians are “eternal brothers” (I've posted it before, Wincel even quoted the video I believe), this was during his election campaign.
I know because my family comes from that part of the world. (Rostov to be exact, not far from the Ukrainian border)…I've got pics of my family vacationing in Crimea, Odessa, and other cities in the East from when I was a kid. My forename is actually Ukrainian (ends with KO which is typical for a Ukrainian last name). Even tho I grew up in the states, these are my people (Russians/Ukrainians), and my bloodline/heritage goes back to this part of the world. I didn't just start caring about this conflict in Feb 2022. I have been back to both Russia and Ukraine more than once since my family relocated to the U.S., still got relatives/friends of the family who live in both places.
I know what type of people live there(just like you know your place of origin, Albania, better than I do I'm sure), and which region votes for which candidate. East has always voted anti-west candidates for the most part, this is nothing new and has been this way for a very long time. It's not a secret. Similar to how the Southern states and Midwest typically vote Republican all the time. Just like California always votes blue (even tho some who live in Cali prefer red team)
Here is tough guy Zelensky talking with nationalists, trying to get them to stand down. Because Zelensky ran on peace (this was his MAIN election promise to the people of Ukraine), he ran on stopping the civil war in the East, he ran on fulfilling the Minsk agreement and look how the Ukrop Nationalists talk and treat him...
_kRCYyxcDng[/you
Imagine U.S. soldiers talking and treating the President this way, the disrespect is unbelievable. He was elected to make paramilitary units withdraw from the front lines, but he failed miserably and got embarrassed.
Also, gotta love how neither the nationalist nor the President of Ukraine is speaking in Ukrainian…both are talking in Russian, ayyLMAO (But muh unique Ukrainian culture lol just lol)
3zNLrZXTZsA[/yo
The longer version, but no English subs.
You said eastern ukraine is/was pro russia. How does voting for a president campaigning on ending what they deemed to be a civil war in their country equate to them being pro russian? That doesnt even make sense. Ukrainians im sure want this war today to end, does that mean they are pro russia right now?
There were other candidates/parties of which some were actually pro russia, why didnt they get votes in odessa but they only got the votes in the donbas if odessa is ethnically russian or pro russia?
Zelesnky ran on two main issues: ending war in donbas, and working towards western integration. Polling data will clearly show you that ukrainians from all over the country, aside from the donbas, have heavily favoured joining the eu… again why would people who are supposedly pro russian be expressing opinions of join the eu? On top of that they then vote for the guy promising eu membership lol…
Your shiet doesnt add up m8.
As for the conflict in the donbas pre 2022, there were fault on both sides for why a longterm ceasefire didnt happen. You can be biased and delude yourself into thinking it was all ukraines fault but that isnt true.

Think about it. Why would Russia attack Ukraine for no reason? It's not for no reason. There is a consistent pattern here, and if you look at the US role in Maidan and the ultranationalist actions in Donbass, you will understand Putin's decision and the tragedy of all of this.

I dont know why you're trying to argue that Eastern Ukraine isn't more pro-Russian. This is a common fact that Ukrainians (even those from Lvov) will admit is true. More than enough information these days proves this. And anyone who is from that region or ever traveled/vacationed there knows this is reality.
From people living in the East point of view, the Nationalists members (who liked to wear Nazi symbols/patches, but they aren't neo-nazi ofc ayylmao) took control of Kiev. This is what they believed in the East, whether you believed that or not doesn't matter. It's what the citizens in the East believed and saw happening.
They set a building on fire in 2014 in Odessa filled with Ukrainian citizens who were against the Maidan revolution in Kiev and thought the Nationalists (Azov/Kraken members) didn't represent their interests. It was 30-40 something people who burned alive, with Kiev doing nothing to stop the riots. Cops just watched the mob lock everyone inside, and they watched as they threw Molotov cocktails at the building till it set on fire.
There are videos of some police officers even participating in it, not just being bystanders watching and doing nothing to stop it. This was a huge event during that period, and it's what really set off people in Donbass/Lugansk regions. It was probably one of the events that were a major turning point in how people in the East viewed the new Kiev government.
Zelenskys main election promise was to end the civil war started by the former President (Poroshenko, he wasn't the only instigator, but he played a major role) and implement the Minsk agreements and withdraw/get control of the paramilitary units that former President Poroshenko financed and created during his term. The people in Donetsk/Lugansk would have stayed in Ukraine as long as the Minsk agreement was followed.
And this would have been better overall for the entire country of Ukraine. Now they'll lose Lugansk/Donbass, even if a peace deal is signed. Kiev's only hope now is to actually push the Russian army back to the pre-invasion borders if they want these regions to be a part of Ukraine again (very unlikely)
The Odessa massacre/tragedy will never be forgotten.
Also, EU and NATO are 2 different organizations.
“NATO is a military, defensive organization. The EU is an economic and political one with vast resources to make a difference to its own members and to its neighbors. Both organizations can complement each other, with NATO focusing on military operations and the EU on civilian missions.”
And joining NATO has never been a popular idea in Eastern Ukraine.
The President of a country speaks to his citizens who live in the Eastern part of his country.
“Our children will go to school, to kindergarten. Their children will be sitting in basements”.
Now, why would the people of Eastern Ukraine want such a government in Kiev ruling over them? They didn't, Zelensky came in the re-elections and promised the opposite of this. He failed and now Ukraine will lose those regions either way, whether a peace deal is signed or not. This will obviously be worse/hurt Ukraine's economic future. Fulfilling the Minsk agreement would have been more beneficial for the Ukrainian state. Sad
At this point, I'm just wasting time, ayyLMAO. Feel like I'm repeating myself, ITTs. I went over all this already/said all this, nothing will change your mind or the minds of some other miscers.

Here's a fact for you, Eastern Ukraine has always been pro-Russia and has always been filled with ethnic Russians who speak Russian as a main language and always have. They've always identified with Russia more than they have with the west. Nobody needed to kidnap these people, sadly they had no choice but to temporarily leave lands in Eastern Ukraine. Most relocated went to Russia, obviously.
Life in Lvov and Easter Ukraine is different, and so are the people/their political beliefs. Your mail order wife parent's don't speak for the people living in Eastern Ukraine, who have been at war since 2014 with Kiev.
You yourself have never even visited your beloved Ukraine. You have no idea what you're talking about nor do you know the type of people who live there. You aren'tSlavic, Russian, Ukrainian, can't speak the language. The only connection you have to Ukraine is you ordered a wife off one of those Eastern Euro websites.
All your info is just repeated from what your mail-order wife tells you and MSM ofc

what is your argument? that eastern ukraine is pro russia or that eastern ukraine is MORE pro russia? those are not the same things.. ofc eastern ukraine is more pro russia than western ukraine.
my problem with what youve trying to say here is that youre attempting to paint a picture of ukraine as being russian, which isnt true at all. as evidenced by the fact that they were and still are in favor of western alignment instead of russian alignment. you can be like the other miscers here and claim that the CIA faked polls and votes and brainwashed the ukrainians with psy-ops into hating russia, but the truth is the truth...
you make the same arguemnts as the serbs post yugoslavia claiming that croats were just confused serbs. for a "proud slav" like yourself who is supposedly anti war, what youre saying is the exact mentality that leads to wars.
the ukrainians have their own separate identity and should be allowed sovereignty despite the fact that it fuks with russia geopolitical sphere of influence.
and yes.. i know the EU and nato are two different things bro...
OIXI_pE6
The Odessa massacre/tragedy will never be forgotten.
ue26DxCL

He failed and now Ukraine will lose those regions either way. A peace deal signed or not, this will obviously be worse/hurt Ukraine's economic future.
Germany isn't the military powerhouse it once was. They've been 100% neutered as evidenced by the critical structure Nord Stream pipeline getting blown the fuk up by a fellow NATO ally and Germany never responded. Sad
And as yall already mentioned, it isn't nearly enough to defeat Russia, you're not outproducing Russia. All this would do is prolong the conflict and cause more dead Ukrainians and Russians. It still doesn't change the outcome of this conflict.

Iran expects "huge volumes" of oil and gas swaps from Russia in 2023 - Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance of Iran
Iran also expects to complete the construction of the North-South corridor(Russia/India/Iran) by 2025 - the minister added.
Ukrainian journalists report significant successes of the Russian army near Avdiivka, which is practically surrounded, and although units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are holding out, they are suffering “huge” losses

I have no skin in this war and don't really give a sh*t who wins. Some of my posts have been critical of Russia supporters, and others are critical of the West/Ukraine supporters.
Why? Because I have seen cringe sh*t on both sides. It's possible to not be a total fanboy 100% for one side, who thinks they are always good and right while the other side is always bad and wrong (which is what you are). Understand, little boy?

SpaceX further limits Starlink service in Ukraine
https://news.yahoo.com/spacex-furthe...194700745.html
Starlink is now using geofencing to block the use of terminals (by the Ukrainian military) not only over Russian-occupied territories, but also over water and when the receiver is moving at over 100 kilometers per hour---The Economist
The Economist writes that Elon Musk became “concerned” about “escalating” the situation, so he limited the use of Starlink terminals for military purposes. That led to the Armed Forces of Ukraine losing access to satellite Internet in active warzones and Russia-occupied areas of the country.
“You can put the terminal in a boat at sea, and it just stops working,” says the source in the AFU.
Because of this, the Ukrainian military must now rely on other, more expensive communications systems.
Why would Elon do this, what about slava ukraini? Does Elon not own a Ukrainian flag?
Yo vatnik sisters, how much yall think Putin is paying Elon? Clearly Elon is a Kremlin bot

"The President of the Czech Republic announced one attempt by the Armed Forces of Ukraine to launch a counteroffensive - Rzeczpospolita. Czech President Petr Pavel believes that in case of failure, Ukraine will not be able to get funds for a new counteroffensive due to the fatigue of the West.
“War weariness is not only the depletion of human resources and equipment, the destruction of infrastructure in Ukraine, but also fatigue in the countries that provide aid. America’s interest in Ukraine and the level of aid may decrease next year. And when American interest falls, many European countries will do the same," Petr Pavel explained.
According to the Czech leader, Ukraine will launch a counteroffensive in the coming months.
Is he a Kremlin-paid bot too now, or is the Czech President just not informed? The writing is on the wall, but you're just too stupid to read it. Sad
Ukrops really need to make this upcoming counteroffensive count, it's all in for Kiev.

Ukraine is taking massive losses in Bakhmut, and despite Ukrainian generals saying to retreat, their fearless leader Zelensky told them that wasn't an option and to just throw bodies at Russian positions.
