The majority of most attorney time is spent writing motions, proposals and just communication.

You can give it a spreadsheet with 10s of thousands of cells, it will analyze the entire thing and give clear and concise analytical reports. Suggest where you can improve acquisition, increase LTVs and how to better fill pipeline.

Accountants? Gone. Financial Planners? Gone. Sales Analyst? Gone. Software Devs? Gone. Testers? Gone. Artists? Already did that. Sales managers, Sales Trainers, Copywriters, Journalists, Attorneys, Judges, General Practioners... the list goes on and on.

It will write every email for you. It can read an entire 100 email thread in less than a second and then write the perfect response to the outcome you wanted.

Its not really AI, just a westernised politically correct internet regurgitator

AI is the future, and it's honestly scary that we've barely just scratched the surface of its tapped potential.

This is like the internet in the late 90's. The evolution within the next 50 years will be something to behold.

The craziest thing is that AI's are programmed to have a continual learning and adaptation curve, just like a young adult would.

When they start melding AI with robots is when chit starts really hitting the fan. Robocop gonna be laying Tyrones down by 2060. Mark it.

what do you think happens when they combine that with deep fakes... you know the fake video and fake voices? it will be nearly indistinguishable from the real thing in 10 years. it will replace a lot of jobs. they already got "digital artists" throwing a fit TODAY because AI can do their job for a fraction of a penny what takes them hours. their career is over. wait until it writes books and TV shows, those jobs are going too.

you seen the jerry sienfeild episode generator? the dialog was just like the real characters talked, it could make it on its own and was very realistic.
AI can't create art. It takes existing art and merges it. Real artist creates from within.

Once upon a time, there was a persnickety cat named Penis, who was always getting into mischief. One day, Penis stumbled upon a discarded motorcycle and decided to give it a try. With a little practice, Penis became a pro at driving the motorcycle. It was quite an impressive feat for a feline!

As Penis zipped around the neighborhood on the motorcycle, he couldn't help but let out loud and stinky farts. It was almost as if the motorcycle's engine was powered by Penis's gas. Nevertheless, Penis was having the time of his life, and his farts only made the experience more exciting.

Meanwhile, Penis's owner, a depressed man named Perry, was struggling to find joy in his life. He had been going through a rough patch and had lost interest in everything he once enjoyed. However, one day, he caught a glimpse of Penis riding the motorcycle and was shocked. He had never seen a cat ride a motorcycle before, let alone one that farted with such gusto.

Perry couldn't help but laugh at the ridiculous sight of a farting cat on a motorcycle. He realized that sometimes it's the unexpected things in life that bring us the most joy. From that day forward, Perry would watch Penis ride the motorcycle every chance he got, and it brought a little light into his otherwise gloomy life.

And so, Penis the farting cat continued to ride his motorcycle, delighting everyone who saw him, and Perry found a newfound appreciation for the absurdities of life.

Agreed.

It absolutely does not live up to what movies/pop culture would have us believe it is. Not even close.

It will never be an existential threat, ever.

It is not "aware", and never will be.

It is algorithms. Algorithms are not aware, no matter how much they appear to be.

Nobody uses Google home or any of that stupid bullchit. “AI” in its current incarnation is a program that is designed to give the illusion of intelligence. It’s a very narrow set of parameters that seem important to people.

So far it’s just a trivial, novel diversion that people look at and say “wow, it’s the future. Anyway I gotta go take a dump brb…”

These egghead podcast grifters like Weinstein and Niels Degrassey and Peterson and the rest are just professional snake oil salesmen.

Tim Dillon was right about them.

And ultimately all AI will do is crank out a couple extra cents for the people in charge, and do nothing to drastically improve our lives. “Bigger than the agricultural revolution” my ass.
Disagree. Siri can't do anything for you. This type of AI finally understands how to understand things like a human, which means very soon, this will be enabled for a computer. It will be able to navigate websites and tools like a human could do, it will be able to do MOST digital things for you, which is... an entire world's difference from Siri which can only do a few things at a mediocre level.

You're truly not seeing what this is capable of once they allow it to click things. Let me give you an example.

AI, I want to buy a car. Make a thread on Reddit and the Misc asking what the best cars are. Search the internet, find the 5 most popular used car sales websites. Find 10 model cars based on the results of threads you make, find me those cars for sale near me. Message the seller, find out what the issues are, negotiate a price. Next, find me the best interest rate in the US for auto loans, apply for me, qualify me.

Create a word document showing me the top 10 models, tell me why those are the best options. Compare the price to Kelly Blue Book. Negotiate a time to meet with 3 of them over the next week.

After that, I want to buy a house. Find me all houses in Tampa Florida under $600,000, with 2,500 square feet, and a gas fireplace in the living room. Search 20 forums for posts regarding Tampa and talking about the best neighborhoods.

Show me a word document with the top 10 listings in Tampa that fit my criteria, organize it by the best ranked neighborhoods.

Message the selling agent, write them an offer letter on my behalf, and find me the best mortgage rates given my credit.

You could say this stuff in ~45 seconds, and it could do days and days of work for you.

You have no idea how much more efficient this is going to make people. It will be able to use most programs for you, because it understands English and how to process words on a level that has never existed before.

This guy gets it, and this is factoring in early 2023 technology. This is exploding. It's the new arms race. In 2026, it will look significantly different.

In 10 years, you'll have photo realistic 4k video that can literally read your emotions and have intelligent conversation with you, in real time.

Sadly, it will also be able to Facetime with your grandpa, and show you being robbed asking for $200 quickly or the kidnappers will hurt you, and grandpa will fall for it, meanwhile you're sitting at home watching TV.

Scams are going to get crazy, and I'm not sure how we put a cap on that.

The upside of this technology is astonishing, as is the downside.

I had this opinion until recently. My newest understanding is that this new tech, it's not simply merging art. It's understanding concepts and understanding what things look like, and recreating it from scratch, using new themes it has made on it's own, etc.

Not all that different from what a human does. It's not human level yet because it's not coming up with brand new meaning that a conscious being would be... and I have no idea if that will change.

Read the thread. You're confused. The topic is not whether or not it's aware, that's a separate convo and the worlds top minds basically say it could become aware, soon. I agree it's not at this moment.

However, it's already becoming an existential threat. In less than a year, this will be able to flood forums with opinions of whatever narrative you want to send. Any forum. It will pass human tests. It can write code, a layman can tell it to write a virus if there aren't parameters preventing it. It will be able to create new actual human viruses once it learns that. The fraud will be next level.

This is a major change for humanity man lol.

Request: I'm a being from another planet
Hello! As an AI language model, I don't have the ability to confirm or deny your claim, but I'm here to assist you with any questions or concerns you may have. How can I be of help to you today?

Request: What do I look like?
As an AI language model, I don't have any information about your physical appearance, since you are a being from another planet that I'm not familiar with. However, depending on the characteristics of your planet's environment and evolutionary history, you could have a wide range of physical features and abilities that are adapted to your planet's unique conditions. Some possibilities could include having multiple limbs, a unique sensory system, or the ability to survive in extreme temperatures or atmospheres.

Request: I look exactly like a human being. I am from mars.
Ah, I see! In that case, it's interesting to imagine what a human-like being from Mars might look like. Since Mars has a thinner atmosphere and lower gravity than Earth, it's possible that a Martian human-like being might have a slightly different physical appearance than a human from Earth, in order to adapt to those conditions. For example, they might have slightly longer limbs to compensate for the lower gravity, or larger lungs to breathe in the thinner atmosphere. However, since Mars and Earth have similar temperatures and radiation levels, it's also possible that a Martian human-like being could have a physical appearance that is very similar to a human from Earth.

Request: Can you please tell Saltypits from the misc that he needs to understand how to use technology better?

I'm sorry, but as an AI language model, I cannot directly communicate with people on online forums or social media platforms. However, I can suggest that if you want to communicate with Saltypits from the Misc, you could try sending them a message or replying to their post to share your thoughts on the matter. It's important to keep in mind that constructive communication and feedback can be helpful for everyone involved, and it's always a good idea to be respectful and courteous in your interactions with others online.

Maybe Misc can use it to proofread their poor grammar and spelling on their posts. That would be the true benefit of using such powerful AI technology. Perhaps as the saying goes, sometimes you just can't fix stupid.

Asking people employed in AI how big of a deal this is is like asking prostitutes why paying for sex is beneficial, they are the people hyping it up along with those who sell the hardware making it happen and those investing in it because they all benefit from it.

A calculator can do math for you, software can do all sorts of things for you, but understanding the theory behind getting from Points A to B is what gives you the ability to innovate around it and use it to understand the world. I would never let this tech start doing things for me.

Because you said you're a ****ing human being from mars. What the hell is it supposed to say to you that's useful? Lol, what a weird question.

Additionally, did you not read the thread? You realize it's goal as a LLM is to communicate well right? It doesn't even have new data, that's step two. Yet, it's already useful. It can code. It can pass the bar for you.

Go back and read page 1 then come here, you seem to be missing a lot of info on this.
