70’s all the way through around 2005 really were probably peak humanity. That being said though there was still terrible things going on. Crime rates got crazy in the 80’s and the crack epidemic was insane. And honestly there is still a lot of opportunities to have a great life today. As long as you don’t live in the ghetto and stay online finding stuff to be outraged about life is good. People talk about how detrimental smart phones and social media are(and I agree), but if you don’t use them to paint your view of the world you can be much happier. Of course this is coming from someone who lives in a conservative state so I don’t have clown world shoved in my face in the real world, or at least not to the level many people experience. Things are probably going to get worse though, so in 20 years people very well could be looking back going “man, those guys in the 2020’s had it made”. Just like people who were unhappy in the 70’s looked back and went “man things were so much better in the 50’s”.




Cliffs- there are good and bad aspects to all times throughout history so just do the best you can with the time you have

Cell phones and social media are effects of the issue. Not the cause. The cause existed before the tech to make those things did.

Imagine someone taking a cell phone, putting it on a table and commanding it to destroy society like we do with guns when discussing gun violence.

Can confirm. I graduated in 1977 and I think we had one guy that we figured was gay. I heard he became a florist, so yeah. I didn't suspect any of the girls to be gay. Therewere some fatties and uggos, but most were pretty normal with some chads and hbbs.
