Didn't realise imgur.com is so left wing.

Saw a political picture and was curious what the comments would say. Its all just left wingers commenting.

Do they censor conservatives or are conservatives not on the internet are much?

Every website is left wing. My mind was blown when I discovered Wikipedia went full progressive. Growing up that site wrote in their policy that articles had to be neutral. Then Trump got elected and it switched.

That’s why I value the misc so much. You can actually have open dialogue that goes against the common narrative and the brahs on here are relatively intelligent and willing to engage.

about a year ago I checked on my images / gifs hosted and there were hundreds of comments of people being butthurt....

had no clue people spend time on there commenting on hosted images and complaining about them but they do

Yep imgur is heavily left wing. In 2022 mid terms they were all making imgurs and calling every republican a fascist.

Saturday Night Live did one episode where they condoned Trump, just before he got elected. Then after the election, they attacked him consistently. Now that Biden is president, they don’t attack him equally.

Media has been left leaning for decades, that’s why we have Fox news.

Yeah Imgur shadowbanned my account so my pics no longer show up in the public feed. I used to get dozens of comments every time I uploaded. Never tagged them either so idk how their algorithm works, but too many “offensive” images and they gave me the hammer. Now I can upload but only privately.

Fuk if I know. Maybe Truth Social or something. But I’m not interested in conservative websites that are just echo chambers. The misc is not “conservative” it’s an open forum of young brahs who share similar interests. This is a brotherhood/community. Nothing else this good will ever exist sadly.

Venture-capital firm Andreessen Horowitz were the sleeping partners or owners in it. You can't get more hardcore leftwing than that firm. I think they just buy into established startups companies just so they can control the narrative and ethos of the company rather than for profit.
