I never watched the John Wick movies, am I missing out?

The fourth one is getting good ratings. I figured John Wick is just about the action, amirite?

First one was excellent. Really about perfect as an action badass type movie.

Second one was still pretty good but starting to go woke.

Third one sucked and over top ridiculous plus too woke.

It's just not believable watching Halle Berry pinch a trained assassin by the back of the neck with just the tips of her fingers while he stays put for 30 seconds and she mows other fools down.

Worth a watch I'd say, not like there are many quality films coming out nowadays so why not?

First one is worth a watch.

The rest? I guess if you really, really like the first one.

He was the ultimate assassin for years for the Russian mob in New York. He left that life for a woman Helen who then died of cancer. Russian mob kingpin's punk son stole John Wicks muscle car and killed his puppy (gift from his wife).

Everything that happens from that point on for all 3 movies is a direct result of seeking revenge and getting back into the assassin life. Solving one problem creates another and so on.

The other plot device that's prevalent and the background to all the movies is that there is an international assassin type society with members, a high table, even hotels they stay at. That society has very strict rules and codes of conduct that complicates the plot in all the films.

They remind me of those old Kung Fu movies from the 70s but with guns and knives.

Ip Man is in part 4.

No problem. I'd definitely watch the first one as it's excellent then proceed from there.

The dude that plays Mayhem in the Allstate commercials is also in the first one and he's a great character on there too.

Shout out to Keanu Reeves doing these movies at age 58 now. Dude's gonna make 60 yr old Tom Cruise look like a punk.
