What would you have? No institutions at all? Institutions are the bedrock of civilization. We just have to keep them honest. Anarchy = war.

Looks like macgreggor may have been right. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The military forces of Ukraine are not yet ready for a counteroffensive in the eastern direction. This was stated by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky.

“We can’t start [counteroffensive] yet. Without tanks, artillery and [US multiple launch rocket systems] HIMARS, we cannot send our soldiers to the front lines,” the Ukrainian leader said, according to the Chinese newspaper The Japan News. He stressed that "absolutely no conditions have been formed for this."

The interview with Zelensky took place on the train on the way to Kiev after visiting the Ukrainian-controlled part of the Kherson region

Lol what. There are many non state institutions that dont seek to override human nature. You should get out more.

What? All institutions override human nature. It isn't even natural to wear clothes. You understand that right? Rape and murder are natural.

The whole privatize everything for competition sounds good until you realize those private orgs are obligated to stakeholders for short term gains and not the general public. That's how you get cancer causing chit in your food and water.

A huge chunk of the economy can and should be controlled and/or regulated by the state to make it remotely safe.

There are essentially zero hungry American mouths. You understand that right? The only cases of hunger here are due to elderly or kids being neglected by caregivers. This country is 4% of the planet and uses 25% of the resources. We secure these resources using military coercion. We do not shelter our own poor because our rich do not want their taxes raised. Our streets are trashed because our rich do not consider cleaning them up a priority.

Do you understand how outrageously wealthy the US is? Our plight is completely engineered by the rich in our country. They use either party to do this. It is selfishness. We can do both. We can help the world and America too. All we have to do is get rid of some of the rules that are allowing bastards to exploit and effectively enslave our people.

Trump is the absolute best of the worst despite all of his character flaws.

There would be no war in Ukraine, conflict in Syria/****lia because he withdrew, failed economy and on and on.

Bush Obama Biden all **** the bed on all of these issues and in combination killed millions.

His position on trade was positional for the US' benefit.

Trump is obnoxious sure but had extreme presidential fundamental qualities not seen in 100 years.

He did not withdraw from Syria. Do I need to link you the "We're keeping the oil" speech? Trump was happy to listen to Bolton and McMaster, and other hawks when it suited him. He's no hero. He's literally a useful idiot.

He was, however, tangibly different from the others. That's good, but we need better. Tulsi would have been the best. But she's not as scummy as Trump, and as a result, she never wins anything. Part of being an effective politician is winning.

Mental illness and elder/childhood hunger are the direct issues regarding hunger. I understand it clearly.

Institutionalize the mentality ill, humanely.

We need new framework. No property ownership? No voting. Cooperative government regulated food distribution with small and individual business disruption allowance, same with construction and a multitude of other markets. Eliminating multi family housing with single family 1 story homes not exceding 2000sqf no closer than 1 acre centered from the other.

What we spent on this war covered poor people in an entire region.

Stop hoping for hope greatness in the sciences. People just want to live and be free and that developed from the security of living ordinarily. The gifted among us rise from normalcy.

Tulsi is probably the best person. But even then, IDK. I saw how she pivoted to the GOP and is repeating some of their talking points for clout. I get why she is doing it, but it's just gross.

No property ownership, no voting? What the fuk? Oh so homeless people aren't people anymore? Is this a joke? We don't need to change food distribution in America. It's fuking fine. We have no hunger here, remember?

What does living ordinarily even mean? No American lives ordinarily. Ordinarily means living like a human in a slum in India. That's what ordinary is for most of the planet.

What do you mean 1 story homes? How are people supposed to live in cities?

He is a narcissist and has some truly bad character.

But what is more important?

There are literal rotting bodies of your extended family at this very moment. He's the only one that stopped it and the only one proven to not go to war in decades.

That's why I am supporting him. But from Chalup's POV, that would be an invitation for Putin to conquer Ukraine. And it is difficult to know who is right, but the price of being wrong is terrible.

Cities are inevitable though. It has to do with how big businesses and satellite businesses emerge. You can't just relocate people all over America from the cities and throw them in cookie cutter homes and call the problem solved. People need jobs.

Wow, Incredibly naive lol.

You could make the argument that the war would actually beWORSEwith Trump in office. The actual invasion of Ukraine wouldnt last long because Trump would completely capitulate to Putin and let him do whatever he wanted, but this would actually force NATO to respond way more forcefully than they're doing now. Without support from Trump, Poland would act against Russia preemptively, citing threats to its borders. We have troops stationed in Poland and all over Europe, War breaks out and our troops are in the middle.

So what does Trump do after that? Order a complete withdrawal of our troops under duress like in Afghanistan? Or confront Putin?

Economies develop out of necessity.

Rich people didn't do anything other than consolidate and impoverish black people in cities for their own empowerment.

Sure would be nice if they were handed the American dream taken from them in the 60s.

It was all intentional. Still is. You can still have your cities however they'd look very different and less politically leveragable.

Plus the one story single family home is how we keep democrats out all over the country, it is very effective.

Trump would have probably forced Minsk 2. If he had leaned on Zelensky, it would have happened.

So the fact of the matter in our current situation is that so long as the formula is Ukraine v Russia, Ukraine cannot compete militarily. I'm sorry but it is not an opinion.

With that as military fact, one of three things would have happened,

Continued low intensity militia driven warfare.
An invasion without support and fractional bloodshed.
A negotiated settlement.

I don't think so. Homie was in so far over his head dealing with State/CIA.

I still don't know how I feel about Trump/Russia. I will give Biden about the only props he deserves in funding Ukraine tho.

If he had won 2nd term, the buildup would have freaked him out. And he already hated Bolton and friends. He would have looked more carefully at Putin's demands. But one of two things would have happened:

He would have made peace.

Or

He would have conceded to Putin, and then Putin would have laughed and fuked Ukraine anyway.

It's hard to know which would happen. My gut tells me the former, but you never know.

I do not believe Putin wants this. He feels it is necessary. How can any Russian want this?

Maybe. Id be ok with this. But it would just lead to conflict down the road, this way we have the conflict out of the way. And whoever wins will have the land. Ukraine was never going to willingly give Donbas/Crimea.
