and lets be real, it rubs yall the wrong way to think i had a disadvantage and still did well.

saalty unnecessarily chimed in, because of aforementioned. nothing was directed at him

then the only "lame" thing saalty can say is "you didn't win a championship"; when once again, nothing was directed at him

Not true. We tied in the championship game one year too (which you already know god damn well we did). I would gladly go back down this rabbit hole with story time revisiting it all but we can't hit Zere0wn with everything all at once. We have to save something for him.

You know what's really amazing about there only being 4 champions, I don't think Saalty or Pro ever went back to back. Unless this past year was the first back to back win? I might have this wrong but I really don't think we've had someone repeat.

it honestly is crazy only a handful of people have won. usually the playoffs are so luck oriented you'd get someone making a run to win a couple, at least.

I'm pretty sure I went back to back, lost, and then went back to back again. 4 out of 5 years.

EDIT: just confirmed I won back to back in 2015-2016 and then back to back 2018-2019.

Ah ok. Honestly the math doesn't add up without having a back to back so I don't know why I was thinking it didn't happen.

Who "won" the covid season? I feel like that might have been me but I really wasn't counting it (and am still not) so I honestly can't remember whether I did or not. I feel like my team was at least good for those 2 months.

You know "winning" that covid season was less about winning it myself and more about making sure JY, Steeze, or Krazy didn't win it and try to pass it off as a title.

It was 100% necessary to preemptively block any of that potential nonsense from getting started. So quite frankly very successful "season" for that reason alone imo.

No matter how much they deny it, with the sheer level of desperation they must all be feeling we know that would have been a thing.

Without league history I might also have this wrong, but is this the correct count for titles?

Saalty - 7
Pro - 3
89Fox - 1
Bacon - 1

Well here's the thing, the AL has rolled over and given Saalty a first round bye in like 9 of the 12 years of this league. So he typically only needs to win 2 weeks in a row.

This is before it became a keeper league of course. I think that first year was just straight up and then we switched to keeper going forward. Maybe you don't count that year as A-League. I honestly count it personally.

Edit:

Alright I'm a retard. I totally missed you added one to Pro's column to give him 4. It adds up now.

Edit2:

Pro-Shark was also the first year champ I back tracked and found out.

Actually I think it was a keeper league from the beginning, but we didn't set up that first season as a keeper league so the league history didn't get saved.

I ran the gauntlet for 3 of my Champions, while the other 3 I won I had a bye.

Also let's not forget 2019 where I won all 3 of my playoff games including knocking off the #1 and #2 seed. JY took a raping that Championship game. Still don't think he's fully recovered.

Nah that first year there were two leagues. A league and B league. I was in B league. After that we combined the best teams into one.

You were probably in A League. I don't remember playing with you the first year.

Ok this must be where I'm getting confused. Because I definitely thought there was an isolated season there in the beginning. I'm realizing the only thread I linked to on the first page of this one was the "A-LeagueKeeperThread" so that isolated year I can't find. No idea who won that one.

B League ran simultaneously with A League for awhile. We would recruit from there when we needed a new guy. Then it kind of just dwindled off.

Yeah I do remember that. B-League had 3 seasons in it, maybe 4 at most. I know Steeze wasn't apart of our first year of A-League keeper, playing in B-League instead. He joined either year 2 or 3 (like he said taking NYY's team).

Would be curious to know if Pro or Chill were in that isolated season of A-League before it turned keeper.... or am I the only one still around who actually played in that league before we made a keeper league. I actually would have thought you were but sounds like you were in B-League for that year.

Hard to beat pro that fukker doesn’t sleep and manages to snag every big time prospect at 3am the morning of their call up.

I didn’t count any of the championships IRL as legit in the covid year so I’m glad my team was ass (I think) in fantasy. I didn’t have a chance to win a Mickey Mouse ring that wouldn’t mean dick. I think Bateman made a run that year so I was just rooting for him bum ass to not pull one out because we’d never hear the end of it.

I put respek on the a-league title name.

"Yo, come on, we're Arizona State. They wouldn't give him (President Obama) a degree? Really? I mean, even if they offered him one, he should've been insulted. He'd be like, 'I went to Harvard.' I mean, come on, I barely went to class, and they passed me. It's Arizona [expletive] State!" - Terrell Suggs

The only people you need to watch out for in this league are Saalty and Pro. I think it's Pro's turn to win this year if I'm not mistaken. All other champions have retired (aka me and 89Fox)

Surely JY will be along to tell me how my championship doesn't matter because it was so long ago any minute now. The longer it takes everyone else to get over the hump the better my championship looks. JY, Steeze, and Krazy floundering is a glorious sight to see.

Let's go Pro-Shark!!!
Bacon rankings aren't even a thing anymore and I'm still over here catching strays with the #1 preseason rank curse

You were probably in A League. I don't remember playing with you the first year.
I'm pretty sure it was you and me in the B league championship too. Just been on a whole 'nother plane of existence since the beginning.
