in the past LITERALLY every new entry in the Zelda series has been completely new and exciting

never has there been such a lazy expansion on an existing Zelda idea, I challenge you to prove me wrong (you can't, and Oracles was a duo)

that demo completely set me off on playing that game, ded srs

How new do you expect it to be exactly? Games have matured now and it's a sequel to the last game that came out a few years ago, and on the same console.... obviously it's gonna be similar with a new story and some improvements.

That's how all sequels that come out a few years apart do it no? Forbidden West, Ragnarok etc. You're not gonna find massive overhauls in games that come out 5 years apart.

Seems like you had your expectations way too high and wanted a huge remake/reboot while it was running on the same switch console. I'm not even a Nintendocel and like the first game, I'll never play this one either, but it looks absolutely fine.

I'm not talking about graphics, for that I have my Series X

in general a sequel has never been done in Zelda so imo this isn't a good precedent, in the past it was always drastically different from the previous entry, hit or mis

that's what made it so exciting: to see what they did this time

so while we were already aware a bit longer this is NOT what you could expect from a new Zelda, in a way it's the end of an era

and my expectations where already low (****inator can confirm lol) but seeing them justified is still sad brah

With how popular breath of the bore was, nintendo would have been idiots to stray away from the formula lol ..... perhaps the next zelda will be a more different one, but dont think so since every dev is following the open world trend now.
Sig line can't be a novel

they used to 360 that chit constantly though

OoT arguably the best game of all time -> MM completely different game (same engine yes)

with WW they made a bold choice again, to 360 it back with TP

after that they fell off imo with SS but again a complete 360 from the previous

and then BotW that was yet again new and exciting (but not for me)

now this just seems a lame af expansion, doesn't follow the path the series has followed in the past (fuk on the NES they even did a 720 from Zelda to Link lol)

Majora's mask also recycled a lot of OOT assets.

like I said in the post above the same engine was used but the game was completely different with a new world and core concept

here it looks like same engine, same world, couple new gimmicks and that's it

they can surprise me by having actual dungeons instead of those stupid generic shrines and 3D puzzles from the first but I doubt it

it seems even more emphasis is being put on the weapon breaking (LMFAO) and rune abilities to cater to those that want to put 1000+ hours into the game by just goofing around to show it on youtube

fukking zoomers I swear
