I went to one for a month. It felt like the McDonalds/walmart of gyms. Those hokie bright overdone colors etc and the music , everything felt cheap. But they had pretty much everything i needed, it just wasn’t a relaxing environment.

Seems that there's so many other options out there that there's no reason to use PF unless it's a major location issue. All seems like it would be ground zero for peak broccoli-headed clownery. From what I've seen over the years what equipment they have and how soy-fueld the staff is varies from location to location.

I checked out the one near me after my gym closed unexpectedly and didn't like the equipment. Their leg machines were crap. I ended up joining a different gym. It sounds like they're all different so couldn't hurt to check out the one close to you.

I used to do barbell shrugs but then started doing them on the smith and it's a game changer. First set hold for 2 seconds at the top, second set hold for 1 second and third set no hold. Fuarkk. You can't beat it.

It works great as an ancillary gym, and hot chicks work out there; but there are better options for the same price like Crunch that have better equipment
