Physical in your possession?

Yes.

Silver has a lot of actual uses and I've heard that there is less of it than gold. Platinum is good for similar reasons, but more expensive to get into and probably less helpful for use in transactions.

silver underperforms most other assets historically. paper silver is one of the most manipulated markets out there, its a joke. physical silver brings its own special headaches in terms of storage/security.

silver shills love discussing SHTF scenarios but at that point it'll be pretty much useless. Better off hoarding bullets.

precious metals have their place in a diversified portfolio, but the silver/gold bug mania in the last few years is absurd.

EDIT: to be clear, I do own silver and gold.

Τί θέλετέ μοι δοῦναι, καὶ ἐγὼ ὑμῖν παραδώσω αὐτόν; οἱ δὲ ἔστησαν αὐτῷ τριάκοντα ἀργύρια.

And said unto them, What will ye give me, and I will deliver him unto you? And they covenanted with him for thirty pieces of silver.

At spot valuation of $28/ozt in 2021, 30 "pieces of silver" would be worth approximately $91 to $441 in present-day value (USD).

Dude got ripped off.

I think then point here is that he was not tempted with a fortune, but rather wholly betrayed Jesus in his heart.

Well, it's CLIMBING. In the last 12 years it's been as high as $47 an ounce. No reason it can't get back to that. I don't have all my eggs in that one basket, but just LOL if you don't see the potential.

I used to have a bunch of physical silver but sold it to my neighbor. My boss has over 100 pounds of silver bullion.

That's the best way to get rid of it. Stupid dealers like APMEX won't give you a fair deal on resale. 100 pounds is wild man!

I member when my goal was to get a monster box. After shooting the moon I said fuk this ride and sold b/w $32-$40 an oz. I was buying at $10ish an oz at the start. Nothing like the feel of a roll of mercury dimes or the shine of a roll of ASEs.

Been slowly accumulating silver since I was 15. Got quite the hefty collection. I typically buy silver eagles which means I pay quite a bit over spot... Not sure I'm doing it right but I don't have any intent on selling anytime soon.

IDK how silver will move in relationship to whatever currency situation we may have.

I do know that silver is highly conductive, used in industrial processes, and that there is a finite supply.
