Been a while since I've posted in here but a goal would be competing in my first powerlifting meet and not bomb out. Goal for that would be a 645 squat, 445 bench, and 735 deadlift. We'll have to see how that goes though.

When others notice, it's a surefire sign of progress. On my end when I last trained in a commercial gym 5 years ago, buddy powerlifter kept commenting how he could see my abs through my shirt. We were all mirin' each other in there in the most no homo way. A few of the dudes had just competed.

Legit though. The guys I regularly interact with have been privy to my cut for awhile, but this is the first time a nearly-rando (he's one of those nice old guys that will say "hi" to literally everyone with a smile) has struck up conversation to point out progress.

Das it mane. It is nice when that happens. It's definitely validation of your hard work. Almost 10 years ago now I had fractured my leg pretty bad and it took months to heal in a cast and 1 full year to get back to squatting 3 plates doing physio. My leg was so severely atrophied it was depressing. I hobbled my crippled ass to the gym in crutches week after week, though. My goal was to work my leg strength up to more than it was pre-injury and I wound up being able to squat 315 for 9 solid reps as my working set. It doesn't seem like much but it was a big deal to me at the time. Every week I'd hit the squat rack at the gym, chose to do it in socks as it felt more natural, and eventually this old man also came up to me when I was in the leg press after squats commenting on how he found it impressive that I was warming up with 275. The brotherhood and camaraderie are what I miss most about training in a commercial gym. I got pretty close with a few of the lifters there and we all motivated each other. Honestly, it was like living in pumping iron for those final few months before I moved away. We even kept in touch.

Keep hustlin', cuz!

Anyone else wanna contribute? Always interested in discussing lifted-related topics here and reading about everyone's individual goals and progress. It's very motivating to read about people achieving their fitness goals.

This morning, I stepped on the scale to find myself lighter than I have ever been in my adult life. That's a huge milestone. I think I'm finally entering the next phase of cutting.

Lifting
- Maintain my lifts while losing about 5-6kg and upping cardio.
If i end up doing a lil bit of vitamin T, then my goals will change.

Life
- Carry on with current trajectory, negotiate at least 1 pay rise this year
No reason this isn't doable.

Other
- Read 100 books
I've read 31 as of today, and about halfway through 32 & 33.

I'm maingaining at the moment. Running a conjugate program focusing on strength and just having fun in the gym while slowly going up in BW. Sitting around 192-193 right now, will probably cut once I hit 200-205 just to stay healthy. Don't really give a chit about being shredded, never have. Maybe will at some point in my life but that's not what excites me about lifting.

Good luck everyone!

Day 1: I have tried every browser at my disposal and it blows my mind because the pics just refuse to load.

Day 2: I have concluded that I must have received some sort of virus through my email. I have canceled all email accounts and reinstalled Windows 7 Ultimate x64. Pics still not loading.

Day 3: I'm running out of options here. There must be some glitch in the Windows 7 Ultimate x64 Operating System. Thanks Bill Gates. Switching to MAC OS X maybe this will prove effective.

Day 4: MAC OS X installation complete. I'm drawing a blank here. Pics still won't load. After ruling out software errors, I am convinced that there must be some lingering mechanical failure in my system. I have placed an order to newegg for rush delivery of a new Western Digital Caviar Black HDD. Will give this another shot tomorrow.

Day 5: Harddrive has arrived and has been installed. To no avail, the pictures will not load. I have not shaved or showered in a week. My clothes stink. I have lost my job...all because these confounded pictures will not load. I'm done with the whole electronics thing. I will be moving into an Amish community and this will be my last update on this issue. Good luck and good riddance.

How close are you to attaining those numbers? Also, strong join date to post count. Thanks for choosing this thread to post in as one of your 5-6 posts a year!
