Anyone has CFS (Chronic Fatigue Syndrome)?

Got really sick & recovered. However I can barely walk on a treadmill or lift weights.. Was running 10k twice a week, & now I'm stuffed

How long does it take to recover?

On NAC, K2, Creatine, etc... Nothing is working.

How does one test for it?

Emotional burnout. Go see a therapist. Maybe a trauma therapist. Maybe not. Good luck.

Sorry to hear it! I know of two people who have this debilitating condition. As far as I know it's lifelong and there's no cure as of yet.

Sorry to hear that, srs. Have you not been sleeping well for months, too?

If you're 'chronically fatigued' you can talk to an endocrinologist, but your GP can probably already do the relevant blood work.

Sleep, eat well, de-stress if you can.

Just get a comprehensive metabolic panel, complete blood count, hormone levels, lipid screen, etc whole 9 yards.

Probably the best way to start. If you beat the bronchitis a chest X-ray would show that you’re negative and if your pulse oximetry is normal then nobody is gonna give you a second look.

It comes out "Left field" I'm really concerned since I've got brain fog with it.

Do they recover?

Before I got sick, I has issues with sleep. Now I'm sleeping 10-14 hours a day. If i'm not working, I'm sleeping...

I'll get blood work done tomorrow. However it says they can't test for it.

Stating to get suicidal tbh. Can't train and it's becoming extremely hard to work

Thanks bro... I'll update the thread with my results in a couple of days... Nothing works at all, caffeine etc... If I try to exercise, I get even worse the next day.

I’ll be surprised if something isn’t off physiologically with you. You’re in perfect health?

You just had bronchitis for 3 months bro.

Slow down breh. Breathe. You're working, you're sleeping, but you're so tired that you feel the fatigue constantly? Do the test Ausaric recommended and give it time, talk to someone (us), and do *not* think the dark thoughts.

I get frustration on not training. But get yourself checked out man. Breathe.

Brain fog isn't a good sign. The severe lethargy/crashes comes in waves. Some days are worse than others. They've never fully recovered.

Thanks bro. Your words mean a lot... At times I just want to get a tone load of drugs and never wake up....

I'm basically alone, without a support unit.... Think everything's starting to creep up.

Thanks for the update. Please do keep us updated and see - some folks feel that 'fatigue' as they age, or suffer from withdrawal (nicotine, or other substances), or - if they are used to training, but end up having to work 90 hours a week in a stressful environment too.

It can be a wide range of factors, which is why self-love is so important.

Am I tired?

Yeah man, I ****ing work. And when I get home, I do chores.

That sounds like some nonsense pharmaceutical companies came up with so they can sell you a sugar pill for $1,000 a piece.

42. Sometimes I have to pull 80 hour weeks, but that's one of the cons of living and working in NYC, and making bank. It's all with a future target now as I'll be a dad in July (our first). I ask some parents where they get the energy, and some say 'you get used to sleeping 4 hours a day' - but I've never been able to do that.

I have suffered from fatigue too, and it didn't show up on a blood panel but what I needed was...hydration and sleep, srs. I hope you figure out what's nagging at you breh, I mean it.

I'm pretty sure I remember you posting a gym you own, or work out at? A while ago?

Could it be a test thing?
