Does your gf/wife cook for you often?

My gf of 6 years rarely cooks, She has zero cooking knowledge can only make basic meals.

Miss living at home mum would cook amazing meals most nights even for my dad as well. Probably why they have been married for over 25 years

My wife almost never cooks. And when she does it sucks.

I do all of the cooking cause I like it and I'm good at it.

She repays me in hummers.

Overall I’d say a reasonable example of an efficient market place.

Yeah she is a country girl and her momma raised her to cook, she was raised on a lot of traditional recipes from the old country

We had really tasty corned beef with potatoes for St. Patrick's, she makes really good potatoes and pork chops among other things

I do BBQ stuff like really nice steaks and deep fried chicken tenders and marinated pulled pork and all that, it's "guy food" or whatever

Recently, I've been making my own mac cheese from scratch with dry pasta and my own cheddar sauce, it's so damn good bro gotta try it

I have a trad wife and she cooks my lunch fresh every morning, and will also cook dinner. When she is tired from work she will bring back take away maybe 2 nights out of 5. She also cooks most weekends and would do all the housework too if I let her, but I end up doing most the cleaning. She is both Asian and Muslim, so is double based and is happy with me being the head of the household.

Pretty much every day. I generally cook a couple times a week - I always do pancakes Sunday morning but the rest is my wife. We live fairly rural and rarely eat out as a family. My wife and I eat out maybe once or twice a month. Other than that, it's all home cooked. The smell of fresh bread or crockpot stew when you walk in the door from work, is heavenly.

I've seen it go both ways, honestly. For some old people it gives them a sense of purpose to take care of their spouse. It wore on my grandpa, but I think it kept him sharper taking care of grandma, and his mental decline speeded up after she passed. On the other hand, he was over 90 so it could have just been age. I've also seen situations where the spouse died, and it was like an immediate burden was lifted on the survivor. Regardless, for my wife and me, it's what we signed up for so one of us will be putting the other in the ground.

Nah, I do the cooking. I love to cook and have been at it for years. I cooked when I was single, so it's no change for me. I cook 5-7 times per week and usually something involved on Sundays. This Sunday is going to be smoked brisket and street corn tacos on homemade tortillas with a homemade sauce, but I haven't decided which sauce. May do homemade refried beans as well. She buys groceries, does all the cleaning and laundry and constantly buys me things i.e. shoes and clothes.
You are the only problem you will ever have and YOU are the only solution.
