I do know what US is highest for desirability for immigrants and Canada is not even a close second but they are that and way more likely to get into Canada (which honestly seems implausible). US must be like a dream for a canadian.

What Canada should have done is the following:


1. Allow immigration, but enforce them being localized to cities/areas/provinces where they want to see job growth
2. ****** don't get any semblance of any benefits, legal status, etc. unless they spend a minimum of X years in location from #1 (I think 5 years is a good number)
3. Subsidize small businesses and construction companies to develop in those cities/areas/provinces where they want to see job growth
4. Incentivize key industries to push for positions in those areas
5. Increase med school acceptance with the requirement that Y years are spent working in locations from #1




At some point, you would get ****** and other communities starting up and maintaining themselves in those areas. More people coming to those areas BY CHOICE, and more diversified populations ACROSS Cancuckada instead of all the ****** storming Toronto
