365 bench at 178 lb.
Was ugly as hell but at least I didn't get pinned
Need to get more comfortable with heavier weights, though. My wrists sort of buckled and I quickly corrected but the weight stalled out and starting going back down when I did. Had to kick the leg drive into full blown ass-of-the-bench mode to lock out the rep.
Still pretty happy with it, this is my lifetime PR and I've hit it before but I was 15 lb. heavier.

Nice lift brah. 1 heavy single a week around 95-97% 1rm got me a lot stronger on my bench. You want it close to max but you don't want to have any sticking points either. You want to get it smooth with good technique. Then go on with your normal set and rep work. But really allows you to work on technique under heavy load and have better coordination with the heavy weights. Dont necessarily want to do that all the time. But for a few weeks before going for a pr... Just my experience.

That chest bounce looked painful. Mirin pushing past the sticking point though. I’ve done the ass off the bench to avoid being pinned thing before.

The weight went up and sometimes that's what you need to do. Try working on pausing to help with that mid drive stick point. Also, I noticed the wraps and your wrist still buckled. Are you wrapping them high/tight enough?

I think the issue really started when my elbows flared quickly. My wrists were no longer directly over the elbows and caused the buckling.
