Children born during pandemic have lower IQs

The average IQ of children born during the pandemic is 78. The minimum IQ for military service is 83.

https://www.forbes.com/sites/william...h=330eeb134af4
A new preprint study presents the alarming finding that children born during the pandemic in the US show reduced verbal, motor, and overall cognitive performance compared to children born pre-pandemic. In the decade preceding the pandemic, the mean IQ score on standardized tests for children aged between three months and three years of age hovered around 100, but for children enrolled in this study born during the pandemic that number dropped to 78.

If people had listened to Dr. Haseltine (author of the article) earlier on, we would have had far fewer deaths and shorter lockdowns. But hey, selectively choosing what suits the narrative is par for the course. Anyway, there are drawbacks to everything. It was still absolutely worth it to lockdown, and we should have gone harder earlier on. It would have spared a lot of these issues.

I remember applying for my police force and they did an IQ test. Four people actually failed and were told to leave.

What does it mean? All the low IQ people were carrying on shagging while the high IQ "intelligent" ones were avoiding doing it, in case they catch Corona from each other? lmfao

No, it means babies weren't allowed to be in stimulating environments because they were trapped in their homes like prisoners and unable to be properly socialized and exposed to new experiences and activities

But yeah, also dumb people were probably banging out more babies because thats what they do

They weren't trapped in their homes like prisoners though. We didn't lockdown like China did. Maybe American parents are just idiots and without daycare, they can't do chit for their kids. We need to see foreign data to really know.

I suspect you'll find the new wave of retarded is an American thing.

Yeah Americans are dumb I'm not going to refute that

But i don't think childcare from parents has changed dramatically since the beginning of the pandemic

In theory, parents should have had more attention for children because of wfh, online schooling, etc

I saw it mentioned somewhere else and in the article
The first 1,000 days of a child’s life are an important and sensitive period of child development. Environmental factors, including maternal mental and physical health, nutrition, stimulation, and supportive caregiving can affect the developing fetal and infant brain. The researchers found that even in the absence of direct infection, the environmental changes associated with the pandemic are significantly and negatively affecting infant and child development.

society is getting dumber even though we think we're smarter in some ways because we find more efficient ways to have kids regurgitate crap on standardized tests?

Well the part in bold I will give you. If we were going to do such a thing it should have been real and it should have been brief.

Doesn't mean it was "worth it" or a good idea. Historically in case of a communicable disease the sick people are quarantined, not everyone. Why quarantine people who are not sick?

Generally where I'm at:

- virus was lab altered [assuming it is/was a real virus which spread]

- virus may have some unusual effects due to lab alteration

- fatality rate was very very low and most that died were already in poor health + were killed by withholding of standard medical care and use of harmful medical treatments [no antibiotics, no HCQ/Iver, ventilators, remdesivir]

- cases were total BS given that the "tests" were not meant for the purpose + were run for too many cycles

- the shut down was quite possibly done for monetary reasons and the shots were military countermeasures, a huge cash grab, and/or a means to create greater control over the population with vax passports/digital ID...also possibly intentional depopulation

Masks are partly to blame for this.

With less non-verbal communication due to masks, kids receive less stimuli and develop even worse communication skills that the previous downward trend.

I had a kid during covid (my daughter was born july 2021) and she walked and talked early, as well as being ahead on every metric they use.

Whilst this is purely anecdotal, my wife and I interact with my daughter alot. We talk to her, we take her places and just generally spend a lot of time doing stuff with her.

Every day we feed the ducks and we tell her the names of everything we see (the what's that game), we've started feeding the squirrels (now that they don't run away so much), she chases bunnies in the paddock etc.

Kids need to be kids; they need to exposed to things and grow.

Covid made a lot of famlies rot, not just NEETs.
Screw nature; my body will do what I DAMN WELL tell it to do!

The only dangerous thing about an exercise is the person doing it.

They had the technology to rebuild me. They made me better, stronger, faster......
