I do nothing because the govt does everything for me/us.


ESG mandates and regulations from unelected agencies that permeate everything I purchase.


I can't think of one thing that our benevolent govt hasn't affected with mountains of eco-mentalist dogma.


Don't get me wrong. Some reg's have been good and necessary, but they always take it too far.

Im rooting for climate change to be real and if so, it cant happen fast enough. Why would I want to leave a healthy planet to the filth?

Since op brought up a real topic, whew, here is the list.
Family was in Palo Alto CA and they started this chit early on with burlap sacks.
All cans and bottles as a kid.
Then it morphed with water usage because of droughts and extreme heat on the west coast.
Then on the east coast( late to it) it was whatever the area did which ended up being yard waste, cardboard, plastics, glass and then paper.
Each region had its own rules and the picky bastids would reject you if it wasn't perfectly packed up.
Psa's suggested shutting off water when brushing teeth and shorter showers which is a no brainer.

But then last year Green Peace put this statement that a *super high percentage of this stuff going into landfills* and i was legit pissed.
There is an unspoken thing, we are iron brothers and sisters, we are to support each other and...It is our duty to support our brothers and sisters in the iron game!

I think I saw something saying 90% of recycling ends up in the garbage. So other than not dumping paint and **** down the drain I just do the bare minimum.

I dont really care about climate change and all that stuff as I thinks its nonsense.

I do however care about litter. I dont like seeing it and if I come across a piece of trash i dont mind picking it up and throwing it away. Its a neighborhood pride thing more than anything. i dont want to live in a place full trash laying around and dont think my neighbors do either. if everyone picked up some once in a while everyone would be better off.

That and breaking down boxes and putting them in the recycle bin. Thats about it.

Yeah people littering in shared outdoor spaces pisses me off to no ends. I even put my old zyn pouches in my pocket to throw away later instead of spitting them. Almost ended up starting a fight earlier this year from some fgt snowboarders throwing empties off the chairlift instead of waiting for the trash can at the top of the lift.

I pay 8 cents for every paper bag I use at the grocery store. You know because a renewable resource from trees like paper is really difficult and expensive for the authorities to recycle and everything. What an absolute boondoggle...

I guess the most we do is not use store plastic bags

Wife has an electric car but rarely uses it. We mostly use our old outback's

We do live close to the ocean so rarely have heating on but AC is cranked up a lot in the summer

Don't eat out due to tipping getting out of hand so not sure if that helps. We fly as lot to visit family but don't donate extra to carbon footprint bollox
