They have two types of 5G I think, the sub 6 which is slower and the mmWave which is higher frequency and much faster. The slower 5G is basically like using 4G and a lot of phones still use the slower version and hype it up

Got a new phone last year, S22+ and was doing random sped tests on T-mobile in DC and the suburbs.
Went to a dentist in Potomac MD and did a test and recorded a 650 mb/sec.
For me nah, 5g is not overrated.

I think it's over rated in another context - 5G's 250mb/sec (In Sydney Australia) isn't that much better than the 100mb/sec that 4G offers.
Especially not with the radiation dangers of 5G....
IMO 4G is plenty of speed for ALL mobile applications and in fact I keep my phone on 4G to preserve battery life.

Pretty pointless for mobile devices. How often do you download large files to your phone? Its not a PC where you are moving CAD drawings around.

Could be a random deadzone. My service was great in my area up until a few weeks ago. In certain parts near where I live it just goes dead.
It was decent at one point, but quality has declined.

When it works, it's good.
But, that is rare. It is far too congested in the Seattle area. My LTE speeds are much higher and more consistent.
