What should be done about mass shootings (poll)

There's a different mass shooting every week now. In the news, they announce shootings between sports and the weather

Misc, what needs to be done to stop this? (srs)

Some options:
-stricter gun laws
-more mental health care
-stricter penalties, i.e. torture and violent executions

Stop glorifying them. Stop blasting them all over the news, making television shows about them, giving them their own Wikipedia pages as if they've done something of meaning.

I agree with these but I'm not sure if these alone are enough. I think stricter gun laws including mental health regulations would help

Maybe it should. It could get a lot more brutal than that even

Imagine if shooters bodies were publicly humiliated before and after death. Nobody would want that type of glory

And I do agree, we need to hit the cartels, on top of illegal drug supply they have a huge illegal gun supply into this country.


Those are some big steps we could take
As a non-criminal, I'm more concerned about the people shooting up random places than criminal vs criminal violence even if the latter is more prevalent

How's their gun laws, prison systems, mental health, school systems, healthcare?

It's a very different system, not just culture. those things affect culture though

The only real solution is to immensely bolster security at every public business and school system. Guarded security gates with pass through verification before being allowed entry. If credentials arenโ€™t provided then a thorough vetting of stranger should be done including a vehicle search.

Armed security out on public display at any and all public facilities/transport systems/school/business. And this should be law-required for businessโ€™ to pay for, or face heavy fines for failing to do so.

A major change does need to happen and if it isnโ€™t banning guns (which is illogical), it needs to be a major increase in security/preventative measures. If a business or school district canโ€™t afford it, then they shouldnโ€™t be operating (dead srs).

The above along with no trial death sentences handed out to assailants would be a welcome first step.
