I know i've watched them both, but after a few beers, bit shady on the plot details.

'Sicario' means a 'hitman' in French, I believe? He loses his memory after getting shot on a boat and drives around Europe with a girl, slowly coming to realise he is a Sicario for a major cartel?

First one was great, second not so much.

Couldn’t stand Josh Brolin chewing his stupid chewing gum in ever fu*King scene. But Benicio Del Toro is badass AF.

First one is an 8.5+/10 movie. Genuinely excellent in every regard. I would understand if people didn't want to give it a 9/10 rating, but it's definitely 8.5+/10.

Second one is notquiteon the same level. It just didn'tfeelthe same, and I didn't think the writing/script/story was on the same level as the first.
Still a solid 7+/10 movie though.

Just rewatched the first one. Holds up really well.

Was actually going to make a thread about “the interrogation scene” but I forgot to lol.

I always thought they just waterboarded his ass but now I see why the misc thinks Bonicio made him blow him lol.

First one was great, 2nd was boring.


The one flaw of the first Sicario movie was that it should have been way more violent and gory. Normally I'd consider gore gratuitous, but a film about drug cartels would have the appropriate context for extreme violence and gore.
