Anheuser-Busch company executives had no idea about the ad campaign.

"No one at the senior level” of the company was aware of Bud Light’s polarizing partnership with Dylan Mulvaney, sources close to the situation claim. The company is also allegedly pausing its marketing efforts and scrambling to implement a more “robust” process for evaluating future influencer partnerships.

“No one at a senior level was aware this was happening,” said one source, who was granted anonymity to discuss sensitive internal discussions. “Some low-level marketing staffer who helps manage the hundreds of influencer engagements they do must have thought it was no big deal. Obviously it was, and it’s a shame because they have a well-earned reputation for just being America’s beer — not a political company. It was a mistake.”

A second source also claimed that a lower level employee had made the decision to include Mulvaney in the campaign, a move that appears to have cost the company $5 billion in market value. The backlash to the iconic American beer brand has been so intense that a Budweiser distributor in Missouri canceled an event with the company’s famous Clydesdale horses because everything was “still sensitive” over the matter. -Daily Wire

As I’ve been digging into this, I’m finding this to be 100% true@AnheuserBusch has donated far more to GOP candidates than Dems, and FAR more than woke @MolsonCoors.

They knew about it 100%, these companies have to follow ESG guidelines that is imposed on them and if big decisions are going to be made, it is going to go through execs and also shareholders, like hell they didn't know about it

Why would top executives have absolute no knowledge of major marketing shifts? Why would top executives have little to no knowledge, control, or influence over how their products get marketed, and how their public image shifts?

every company I have worked for (albeit they are MUCH smaller companies) the top guys are the ones leading the charge in "We are going to start pushing for market X, we are trying to appeal to Y demographic"

They took a gamble and lost. Unless they fire everyone involved on the spot, apologize to women for putting a dude in "woman-face" in their ads, and quit all other agenda based initiatives, I don't believe them.

Imagine being a young, diversity hire and costing your company $5,000,000,000 in a week or so and still having your job.

They are hoping that they can just ride this out and things will go back to normal.
