Damn, some of the environmental art style and lightning looks damned good and almost "next-gen" like feels and then some of the other lighting looks really flat lol.


I'm still not sold on the combat / lack of party members but the game looks really really good.



Will probably preorder the highest tier edition on Playstation store.

There was a really cool battle with Leviathan in FF15, but you could tell the battle was constraint because of PS4 hardware. It looks like FF16 is taking that one Leviathan battle and just dialing it to 200. The Eikon battles are gonna be amazing.

I grew up with the SNES Final Fantasy games. Loved them. But FF7 remake is amazing on its own right. You just need to get over the change from turn based to action.

Yeah lmao. It is riddiculous, but if people are gonna pay them sort of that retarded money, they'd be more retarded not to capitalize on it lol..... But no hate, people can do what they want with their money.


But I never saw the appeal of owning collector's editions and all that jazz they give you. Honestly the only thing I like from the higher tier editions is owning the steelbook cases, those are always so fukkin nice to own, display and have ... But eventually they just take up so much space and I much prefer loading games off the drive than changing disks.

I don't know what's in the collectors edition but I preordered the Deluxe edition with the steel book case because Bestbuy is throwing an additional steelbook in for preorders. And ended up cancelt my pre-order for the Zelda OLED switch + Zelda case.

I'm a huge fan of the Naruto Shippuden anime and how each tribe had a special ninja that can transform into a tailed beast.

I like that they are doing the same for FF16. I don't recall if any previous FF game ever had characters transforming into a summon itself. I think that's just so cool. Usually it's just a summon and they leave after the time is up. So I'm looking forward to seeing the actual transformations.

FFX is one of my favorite games of all time.

I beat FF15, and while the first half was dumb and slow, the last half (after Noctis wakes up from his hiatus and world is gone to chit) was actually unique and interesting. But the game was super rushed.

I'm currently playing through FF13 on PC and trying to beat that before FF16 comes out.

I get the hesitation but 13 and 15 was made by entirely different people. This is made by the people who also made the high regarded FF14.

This game, along with Diablo 4, are currently my only "buy on release date" games. FFXVI will be a masterclass game I think, at least A tier, if not S tier.

The only other games that might qualify for release-date-purchase is an MMO or 2 coming out this year... gotta follow the news and updates on those though.
