It's not a midlife crisis, it's new found disposable income from no longer paying the ex-hoars rent note.

I dunno, do you actually like your kid? If yes, I'd just start spending like 50% of the child support on things specifically for him/her.

They're an adult, hence the last child support payment. And no I don't plan on financing their adulthood.

Stylistically I lean towards an 18 year old bottle of good liquor.

Though obviously not if you don't drink or drink too much.

If it is that much then maybe shop for a second home in an area where you like to vacation. Word is vacation houses are being chucked by people seeking cash. Could be in a place you would consider retiring.

Enjoy when you can/want to, maybe rent it out when you aren't using it. You can share it with your kids together, or just let them use it sometimes.

I mean, technically yes. But society is fuked nowadays for an 18 year old. You'll be helping them a lot by offering some support for a few more years.
