Black kid to wrong house, gets shot twice



All we have to go on right now is from the kid's family so I will withhold my judgement. The race baiting though is reprehensible.

Story seemed fishy. I looked up the address he was supposed to go to, and the address he actually went up to, and they're literally 400ft from each other. So at least the confusion part checks out. I expected the addresses to be like 12 miles a way from each other.

this is gonna be a tough one. he doesn't even remotely resemble the typical "turning his life around" storyline.

this kid actually had a future. hope they release more info on what happened, but based on his academic life, this kid had really good things going for him. honestly sad. i'd like to hear what the homeowner has to say.

Yarl is a gifted musician, a bass clarinetist who earned Missouri All-State Band honorable mention and who plays several instruments in the Metropolitan Youth Orchestra of Kansas City, Spoonmore wrote. He’s also a member of his school’s Technology Student Association and Science Olympia Team. He hopes to attend Texas A&M to study chemical engineering.

"Waiting for a formal statement from the victim". I thought he rang the doorbell and got shot. But who was FACTS?

Why the f0ck are his hobbies and future plans relevant to what happened? Its literally the media basically saying "He was not gangbanger", "he was not doing a BE", and "he was not like the other astronauts, we swear"

I think it's more insulting than just saying that a young kid got shot.


Also, the guy was already released with no charges so the police already know there is nothing there to legally charge him.

Yeah I went to school with a ton of kids like this. Had classmates who knew they wanted to be accountants, engineers, pilots, soldiers, etc way back in middle school. These were generally the gifted and talented kids, not the average student. By the description of this kid, he’s definitely gifted or talented academically or musically.

Sad story.

Growing up in Texas I know more than a few kids who had guns pulled on them for knocking on the wrong door or honking at the wrong dude in traffic. Never knew anyone who got shot at such a young age. What a shame. Hope the kid recovers.

Yeah if it played out like the family are saying then by all means lock him up. I just don't like the divisiveness that the media creates when chit like this happens.

I'm a gun owner, you can't shoot someone for being suspicious. If the shooter really did blast through a window because a kid knocked then he's going to do time.

The CNN article I've just read is very sparse so I'm waiting for more detail to come out.
