So this is what i think. This is 1 in a 1000 cases where the black guy is indeed innocent. Meanwhile everyday 2000 old people get robbed everyday and some defend themselves and kill the robber. But that doesnt go on the news.

I always have my gun with me, usually have it in one hand and answer door in the other... I live in a very nice area too w/ relatively low crime. But **** me, I'm not taking any chances.

Well that's the thing, maybe he didn't answer right away and the teen was getting agitated thinking his little brother was wasting time.

You finally open your door after 10 or 15 mins to find a large agitated man who doesn't belong there yanking on your door handle trying to get inside....

Yes he should be charged, but not so sure he should be convicted. It's certainly reasonable to think an elderly man could have been in fear of his life. The kid was at the wrong house furiously yanking on the door to get in, what exactly is the old guy going to think is happening?

Was the kid gently jiggling the door trying to get it open or was he trying to force it open?

Was he saying anything scary, cursing, or just being calm?

It's hard to tell by what's presented.

In addition, what kind of area is the house in? Are there regularly black people around or is this a white area?

The kid supposedly went to the wrong house...where is the right house?
