I used to poke my head into the thrift stores around me every now and then because I used to find some cool stuff there
But nowadays they’re filled with literal garbage. There’s nothing of even a morsel of economic utility whatsoever in them. All the clothes are torn or have holes or stains. Board games with half the pieces missing. Things like a George Foreman grill from the 80s and it’s missing the grate. Old television with a broken screen etc
Maybe I’m going in at the wrong times of the week and everything is picked clean by the time I get there. But really just seems like people are using goodwill as a free landfill to dispose of their garbage and the employees don’t give a fuk and accept the donations
